Today we will consider the unique design of a gas gun that works on alcohol. This miracle of technology is being assembled from PVC pipes and various components for them. The device runs on liquid fuel, the author uses isopropyl alcohol. However, you can use almost any combustible substance, starting from alcohols, ending with cologne, sprays or even gasoline.
A feature of the gun is that it does not need regular refueling after each shot. The power system is designed so that at one gas station you can make 40-50 shots. Special sponges are installed inside the gun, thanks to which alcohol evaporates, these vapors subsequently ignite.
The system is equipped with forced air supply, this makes the gun more powerful, as more air means higher compression. Air is pumped by a special pump, it is enough to do 6-10 clicks for a shot.

Gun manufacturing process:
Step one. Adapter manufacturing
The first step is to make an adapter, thanks to which the barrel can be connected to the hand. This adapter is made from a piece of PVC pipe. The problem is that this adapter should not let air and expanding gases into the handle, so it needs to be sealed. To solve the problem, the author seals one side of the tube with electrical tape, and then pours hot glue inside to a level of about ¾. When the glue has cooled, you will get a great cork.
Step Two We prepare blanks and glue the base
Pick up all the necessary blanks, as the author has in the photo. Then they will just need to be glued with good glue. As a result, you will get an almost ready-made rifle, it remains only to install all the necessary "organs".
Step Three Prepare a place for the "trigger"
As a trigger for this gun, a piezoelectric element from the lighter is used, which, when pressed, clicks and emits a spark. Under it, boring to drill a hole in the handle. The author, apparently, did not have a drill at hand, and he decided to melt the plastic, heating the nail with a torch.
Step Four We get a piezoelectric element
The piezoelectric element can be found in many lighters, very often it is found in pocket ones, as it is small in size. It will need to solder two long wires, if they are not there. We solder one wire to the existing one, and the second to the lower metal part. The wires must be very well insulated, as a spark can pierce before reaching the destination.
Step Five We fix the piezoelectric element
Place the piezoelectric element in the place prepared for it and glue it well with hot glue. Since it is pressed rather tightly, it is highly desirable that the piezoelectric element rests on something.
As for the wires, they need to be brought into the combustion chamber. Spread the ends a couple of millimeters so that when you press the pie between the electrodes a spark occurs. Fix the wires with hot glue on the outside for tightness.
Step Six Production of "heat sink"
I could not understand the purpose of this detail. Quite possibly, this is just an element of decor. To make this part, you will need a piece of PVC pipe in diameter larger than the muzzle. Print the template attached by the author and stick it to the pipe. Then just drill holes. To remove jagged edges, use a sharp knife and sandpaper.
Seventh step. We fix the "heat sink" on the barrel
There are plugs on this part, drill holes in them according to the diameter of the barrel. Then put the “heat sink” on the barrel.
Step Eight. Arrangement of an air supply system
To supply air, you will need a small pump for balls and other things made of plastic. Fix it on the case of the rifle as the author did. You can fix it with hot glue, carefully insulate with glue the place where the pump enters the gun into the gun. The pump must be equipped with a check valve so that the pump does not bleed air.
Step Nine. Rifle silencer
Of course, a professional sniper rifle must have a silencer. The author makes it of two PVC pipes of different diameters. First, we take a pipe of small diameter and drill a large number of holes in it. The sound of the gun during firing will depend on the diameter, location and number of holes. This tube is installed inside a pipe of a larger diameter, which has plugs on both sides.
Clean holes from bumps using sandpaper.
Step Ten Emphasis
When shot from a rifle, there is a recoil in the shoulder, so there should be good support. We take two PVC tubes, heat the burner and make them flat. Well, then bend them to the desired angle and attach to the gun.
Step 11. Tactical Rails
Mount the tactical rails on the rifle for mounting the sight and other devices. The author used hot glue for these purposes.
Step 12. Making the fuel cell
To make a fuel cell, grab the PVC plug and center the wire. It can be fixed by pouring hot glue into the cork. Next, put a kitchen sponge on the wire, as the author did. The sponge is designed to absorb fuel and its further evaporation.
Step 13. Final touches
Mount the sight on the gun and paint it at your discretion.
Step 14. Testing
To shoot from a rifle, unscrew the proca with the fuel cell and soak it with alcohol. According to the author, a gun fires only if the alcohol strength is more than 91%. Install a cork of potatoes in the barrel, or another projectile of your choice. Make 6-10 strokes with the pump and pull the trigger. Good luck
