In this article, we will consider how one guy made a gas soldering iron for polypropylene pipes. The advantages of such a soldering iron is that it can be used where there is no electricity and a gas pipeline. For this homemade the author took a gas burner.
With a vise, the author flattened the end of the burner a bit.
Then he took a piece of a rectangular shaped pipe.
Cut out an unnecessary piece in it.
Removing sharp edges.
In these places he made slits.
Then he inserted the edge of the burner into the pipe and pressed it.
Then, in the pipe, the author will make three through holes with a diameter of 8 mm.
Next, the author needs to slightly narrow the edge of the pipe. He will do it with the help of angle grinders and a vise.
And at the end of homemade work, the author put on a nozzle for a soldering iron and proceeded to the test.
According to the author, in order to ignite the soldering iron, it is necessary to put the burner on the spray can, bring the fire to this hole and turn off the gas supply.
