This approach will work on any machine with drive wheels.
I recently changed the brake pads on the VAZ-2106, removed the rear wheel, and here's the problem - the brake drum tightly stuck to the hub. Pounded, pulled, warmed, all to no purpose. I got on the Internet and found an interesting way, you can break the brake drum with an engine, but I upgraded this method a bit.
In the original, everything is done like this:
We engage 4th gear and unwind the rear axle to a good speed, then squeeze the clutch and abruptly brake. Theoretically, the drum should rip. But I did this several times, it didn’t work, it was only for nothing that I raped the motor.
Here is my approach that helped me, and everything is very simple and safe:
Place one foot on the brake pedal and the other on the gas pedal. Turn the engine a little and gradually apply the brake. Slowly gas-brake, depending on how much the drum sits. I got it at about 2000 rpm.
First, when you breakdown will be "crunch"! Then it screams, this indicates that the drum is standing, and the hub is spinning. I advise you to pour water or brake fluid onto the hub first, thanks to this the drum will polish the hub itself and you will remove it with your bare hands.
