Good day. I made this collar more than 10 back. So sorry for his appearance.
Somehow, before the new year, we bought a hat of Santa Claus with LEDs. New Year passed, but the hat remained. And once again, walking with the dog late in the evening and tired, having lost sight of the darkness every time I called her to me, I decided that I needed to do something about it.
Taking the cap of Santa Claus and a two-layer collar decided to "cross" these two things. I needed: Santa Claus hat, collar, soldering iron, clerical knife, threads, glue gun, a little wide clothing elastic.
Pulling out the contents from the header, we see: a board, a battery holder and LEDs. We unfasten the collar lining (it is better to take the two-layer collar right away) and determine where the board, holder and LEDs will be located. We punch holes for LEDs, sew a battery holder to the collar (we make holes for power wires next to it).
We remove the LEDs from the board and install them in the holes, then fix them with a glue gun
We stretch the wires along the collar to the board and solder it.
Part of the board with a button, if you want, you can immediately break off (my button broke off, literally on my second walk and I had to rip the collar again), I turn it off, pulling out the battery. We pass the power wires to the holder and solder. Sew the collar to the lining. So that the batteries do not fall out of the holder, we sew a cover from a wide garment, stretch through the collar and put it on the holder. All the collar is ready.
Now in the dark during the walk, other dog lovers in the dark will see you and the pet well from afar, notice you, you will see where your dog is running and watch the reaction of random passers-by. The batteries last for about a season.
