Sometimes it happens that the shoes are good - they do not rub calluses, toes, comfortable and stylish. But the problem is, we accidentally (for example, on a hike) step on some sharp object (stone, rose spike, etc.) when the sole is not solid, it breaks through.
Such a situation seems not critical at first glance. But when it rains, or slush - then in wet weather it’s no longer convenient to walk in such shoes, because it gets wet and water is poured inside.
Of course, you can immediately buy new shoes (if you are in the city), or carry it to the shoemaker, add the amount in both the first and second cases. In nature, it is more complicated.
The situation can be resolved by overlaying a patch such as that used to seal broken cameras. auto or bike.
To seal the hole in the rubber sole you need (the punctured camera of a car or bicycle is also glued):
Instruments:
- Grover with a skinning circle (or just take the middle sandpaper);
- invoice key (it is convenient to press a patch around the key).
Expendable materials:
- a set for gluing cameras (this includes patches and special glue).
In some nations, it is considered indecent and insulting to testify the soles of shoes (consider when hiking in Muslim and Asian countries). But here, firstly, a part of the sole is shown, and secondly, there is no malicious intent!
Stage 1.
We dry, clean the shoes and its sole from dust and clean the right place (with a hole) with a grinding wheel with a grover (or manually with a sandpaper):
Stage 2.
After stripping, we clean off the rubber dust and lubricate the place of breakdown on the sole with glue, wait up to 1 min (the glue should dissolve the surface of the sole slightly, dry and grapple with the rubber):
Stage 3.
Remove the foil from the patch (orange side). We attach the patch to the spot smeared with glue:
Stage 4.
We take a spanner wrench and press the patch to the sole ("circle" of the key) along its entire plane, for 1-2 minutes. After the patch is sealed tightly, remove the transparent film:
I often had to walk in the summer on the beaches and not only. Here slippers (or flip flops) are often wiped to holes.In this case, I also used the patch, and this can be done on both sides:
Such patches are waterproof, airtight and do not badly withstand repeated wiping.
If necessary, so that the orange color on a dark background does not loom much, you can trim the colored edges of the rubber before applying the patch.
When gluing chambers, they are first inflated and loaded into water. It is so easy to determine where the breakdown place is, make a cross mark there. Then the chamber is dried from water. The following steps to seal the cameras are the same as here.
