The site has already presented several versions of gas lighters, but each master has his own experience and knowledge. Let's look at making another model of a gas lighter. First, let's see the product in the video.
For its manufacture, the master needed the following
Tools and materials:
-½ "copper tube;
- 3/4 "copper tube;
-10 mm brass nut;
-10 mm threaded plug;
-Adapter from ¾ "to ½";
-Cap 10 mm;
- Sealing rings;
- Adapter with 1/8 "to ½";
-Cotton rope;
-Wire;
-Zippo fluid;
- Brass tube 3.18 mm;
- Brass plate;
-Screw M3.5;
-Lighter;
-UShM4
-Burner;
-Solder;
- Files;
-Drill;
-Sandpaper;
-Grinding paste;
Grinding machine;
-Vise;
Step One: The Case
It cuts 5.5 cm from 3/4 "of the copper tube. It removes burrs. A 10 mm nut is soldered to the edge of the tube.
Step Two: Nut Processing
Clamps the body into the drill chuck and grinds the nut. Then polishes.
Step Three: Top
With ¾ the adapter cuts 5-7 mm. Cleans barbs. For 15 mm nuts, threads are threaded. Solder the nut with the adapter to the body.
The visor makes a tube.
Drills 1/8 adapter (the wick should pass through the hole). Inserts the adapter into the visor and solders to the upper part of the housing.
Step Four: Polishing
Sanding the body with sandpaper, first on dry, then with water. Polishes the case using polishing paste.
Step Five: Stub
Grinds stub. Wearing an o-ring. Screws in the bottom nut.
Step Six: Igniter
Disassembles the old lighter and pulls out the spring, flint and wheel. Screws a screw into a brass tube. Cuts off a tube of equal length with a spring.
The holder is bent from a brass plate.
Drill three holes in the holder, one for flint and two for wheel pins. Solder the holder to the tube.
Solder the igniter to the lighter body. Grinds the place of soldering.
Sets flint and wheel. Puts a protective cap on top.
Seventh step: wick
Wraps a thin wire around the rope. Pulls the wick through the hole in the top. The edge of the wick needs to be fluffed. The rest of the wick sticks into the lighter body, adds cotton wool.
Step Eight: Refuel
Pour liquid until it begins to drip from the top. Then tighten the cover. Wipe the lighter. By turning the wheel, a spark is cut and the lighter burns.
