Instrument for measuring light intensity without programming

We create a device for measuring the intensity of lighting, without using Arduino or other microcontrollers without programming. With a minimum set of parts. The light intensity meter displays different light levels using different color LEDs. A red LED indicates normal illumination, red with yellow LEDs indicate high light intensity, and green indicates a very high light intensity.

The lighting intensity device can be installed anywhere due to its small size, or used for mobile measurement of illumination in rooms, industrial premises.

Material needed

Instrument for measuring light intensity without programming

Electronic Components
- Photodiode
- 3 LEDs (red, yellow and green)
- 100 ohm resistor
- 47 ohm resistors
- power supply 9 volts
- layout for testing
- set of wires
- jumpers

Instruments
- knife
- soldering iron
- solder

Samples and tests.

To get the perfect result, resistors with different values under different lighting conditions have been tested. The values of the resistors were chosen taking into account the difference in the resistance of each LED of a different color. It was noted that the red LED had the lowest resistance, while the yellow LED was the highest.

Prototyping on a breadboard and testing.

Scheme

PCB final assembly

We make a box for the device and collect the final version.

Bullshit starting with the name
Light intensity meter
What is such a measurement ?? The measurement was not nearly lying around. And what kind of parameter is such a "light intensity" that it can be measured? I wonder in what units?
Photodiode
Never a photodiode. The author correctly spelled LDR, that is, a Light-dependent resistor, but the reprogrammer did not understand and wrote nonsense. But the author also burst, not indicating what kind of photoresistor or, at least, its dark resistance and the ratio Rt / Rsv.
And the author’s LEDs are somehow strange: ordinary reds have the smallest direct drop, but yellow and green are switched on through separate resistors in parallel to red with baboutdirect direct drop. And since yellow and green still glow, red clearly works with very high current.
And the device itself is meaningless, neither of beauty nor of benefit. ((
Since when did the red color symbolize the norm?
