The Chinese do not cease to amaze. Releasing a huge number of flashlights of any shape. Sometimes I am surprised that it feels like flashlights are made under the available battery. A friend brought me such a flashlight and asked me to revive it at least somehow. He really liked this headlamp.
Having disassembled and figured, it turned out that all the LEDs burned out and the lead-acid battery hopelessly died. The flashlight was thrown into a box with spare parts. Time passed and nevertheless decided to get it and fix it.
Tools and materials:
- flashlight;
- Li-pol battery;
- charge controller;
- protection board;
- hot glue with a gun;
- wires, soldering iron, solder.
Alteration was carried out of course on a different type of battery. There were a couple of lithium-polymer batteries, with a total capacity of 1 Ah. The protection board was soldered on the board, excellent. There was an idea to put a 18650 battery, but did not fit into the case.
We proceed to the refinement. In the sidewall where there were pins to which the power cord was connected. We remove the pins and cut a window between the holes for the controller connector.
It was possible to use a charge controller with protection, but I only had burned out. And so we use what is.
Using hot glue, we fix the charge controller board in the resulting window.
The battery is soldered to the controller. We start the minus power of the LEDs on the button, the black wire.
Temporarily solder the reflector with LEDs and test. Everything works.
We deflect the reflector and mount the battery in the case. We set the side with the charge controller on the glue, since it was screwed to the old battery. We also install the second sidewall on glue, it, like the first half, was screwed to the battery. At the time of work, the positive and negative wires, I recommend to insulate.
Solder the reflector and install in place. Twist.
The flashlight works fine. The case is quite transparent and the charge indication LEDs are clearly visible. You can modify almost any flashlight in such a tricky way.
Happy holiday to all! WORLD! WORK! MAY!
