First, a little explanation. ALIENWARE is a manufacturer of computer equipment for gamers. When developing its products, the company focused on its unique appearance and the highest level of performance, especially in graphics. The emblem of the company is the alien’s face, and the space theme is always played out in products.
The master already made an ALIENWARE-style headphone stand, but it had a number of drawbacks. The main disadvantage was the large size of the "head", which over time stretched the headphones. Also, the master did not like the fasteners on the front. During the manufacturing process, the support received changes.
So, to make the stand, the master needed the following

Step One: Material Procurement
Given the shortcomings of the previous model, the master, for the manufacture of a new stand, prepared the material in the following size:
-Wooden blank for the head 160 x 135 mm;
-Wooden blank for support 135 x 135 mm;
- Acrylic for the head 160 x 135 x 12 mm - 2 pcs;
- Acrylic for support 135 x 135 mm;
-Acrylic rod for neck Ø50 mm, length 76 mm;
Step Two: Workpiece Processing
On the machine, the master processes the parts according to the design. It cuts openings and letters on a support, gives shape to the head, cuts out acrylic. Cut grooves for LED strip and circuit board. To fix the blanks on the table uses double-sided tape and hot glue.
Step Three: Stripping Workpieces
After cutting, the master cleans the workpieces with a file and sandpaper.
Step Four: Preparing the Rod
The rod connects the support and the head, and looks like the neck of an alien. To install it, you need to prepare a junction in the head.
First, the master on tape collects the details of the head. Then marks and processes the installation site of the rod. A hole for a hairpin is drilled in the acrylic part of the head. A hairpin will connect the neck to the head and inside it is hollow, for laying the wire.
A through hole is drilled in the center of the acrylic rod. Stretches wires through it.
Step Five: Install LEDs
The aluminum foil master glues the inner surface of the wooden parts of the head. Then it cuts the LED strip into segments of the desired length and glues them into niches. The master carries out the same operation with support. Next, install the controller and connector. Drills a hole for the connector in the acrylic part of the support.
Step Six: Eyes
So that the eye sockets would not seem empty, the master cuts and sets eyes from acrylic.
Seventh step: head assembly
Collects all parts of the head and fastens with tape. Then he drills holes from the back of his head and tightens the screws.
Step Eight: Prop
Further, the master fills the niches on the support with resin. So that the resin does not hit the surface of the support, he glues it with foil. After pouring the resin to remove air bubbles, the resin heats the resin with a hairdryer. After curing the resin during the day, removes the foil. Then it collects all parts of the support together and installs the connector in place. From below it drills holes and fastens the support with screws.
Step Nine: Build
It processes parts of the stand with P 400 sandpaper.
Further glues the neck to the head with epoxy. Sets the hairpin. Connects wires. Gathers the bottom. After assembly, it processes the wooden parts with linseed oil.
The headphone stand is ready.
