Electronic game "Wall"






Many must have watched the television game The Wall. There is such a program on French television. Based on this program, the Master decided to make a mini-game for his little daughter. The game has 200 nails and balls. Balls roll down the wall, between the nails, down and fall on a specific cell. Depending on the cell, points are displayed on the scoreboard. To make the game he needed the following

Step One: Project
First, the master developed the project. By downloading file You can see a detailed diagram of the game.

Step two: playing field
The master made the basis for the playing field from MDF. I glued double-sided tape on the MDF. On sheet A3, I printed a picture of the playing field and stuck it on the base.

He made a template and hammered nails according to the template.

Step Three: Guides
In the upper and lower parts of the playing field, the master installs guides made of hard wire.
To install them, the master drills holes and puts them on glue.






Step Four: Launch System
Balls are held in the upper part by means of a strap with nails full. The bar is spring-loaded. When you press the lever, the bar goes down and the balls are released. At the same time, the bar presses the limit switch and turns on electronic part of the game.









Step Five: Counter
To count points, at the bottom of the playing field, the master, in front of each cell, secured a mini switch.All limit switches are mounted on two wire guides. It turns out a number of limit switches. A ball rolling through a cell with its weight presses the switch and the glasses for this cell light up on the scoreboard.







Step Six: The Case
The master makes the case from MDF. Inside the case will be placed electronics and a playing field. The box will be covered with transparent plastic on top. The master closed all other parts with a black film.
















Seventh step: ball feeder
After falling into the cell, all the balls roll into the tray under the playing field. To extract them, the master came up with a dispenser. Having disassembled the old DVD drive, the master removed the motor from it. Made a circle from MDF. In the circle made two indentations from opposite ends. Secured a circle on the engine. Now, when power is supplied, (the master made a magnetic switch), the circle makes half a turn, the lever attached to it presses the limit switch and the circle stops. The ball rolls from a recess in a circle and rolls out into a pocket.











Step Eight: Trough
From the polypropylene pipe the master makes a tray. The tray is installed under the cells with a slope towards the center.




Step Nine: LED Strip
The master fastens the LED strip on the inner side surface.





Step Ten: Electronics
The game runs on the basis of Arduino Nano. For installation, the master made a printed circuit board. Mounted, installed and downloaded the code. In the upper part I installed a scoreboard, which I covered with dark plastic.

Step Eleven: Tray
The master made a tray for dispensing balls from plastic, gluing its walls with hot-melt adhesive.




Step Twelve: Painting
Now it remains to paint the case and install the back cover.





All is ready. Now you can pack the game and give your daughter a birthday.
