Poultry farmers use different feeders for feeding chickens, from a banal wooden gutter to electronics-controlled feeders. The feeding trough presented in this article most likely can be attributed to semi-automatic. The feeder consists of a box, a lid and a lever. The chicken, feeling the desire to "kill the worm," becomes the lever, the lid of the box rises and access to the feed is open.
To make the feeder, the Master used the following
Tools and materials:

-Royal loop;
-Metal strip;
-Metal bracket;
-Fasteners;
-Drill;
-Scissors for metal;
-Glue gun;
-Hammer;
-Roulette;
-Marker;
Riveter;
Step One: Cover
The master makes a lid from a piece of tin. Places the gutter on a sheet of metal and outlines. Cuts out the lid.
Step Two: Installing the Cover
Next, the master aligns the lid (if necessary) and screws it onto the gutter on the piano loop.
Step Three: Brackets
Drills holes in the lid and fastens the brackets on it.
Step Four: Side Covers
Drills holes in the side covers. Fastens the covers on the gutter.
Step Five: Lever
The master makes the lever from a metal strip. Cuts two stripes. Drills two holes in each strip as in the photo.
Screws the levers to the side covers of the feeder.
Step Six: Supports
For greater stability, the feeders make and fix two supports on its lower front part.
Seventh step: pedal
Cuts a pedal strip from a sheet of metal. Curves a strip at the edges. Drills holes in the strip and levers. Secures the pedal to the levers.
Step Eight: Second Lever Arm
The second shoulder of the lever is made of a metal strip. One end secures the second to the cover on the lever.
Hot-melt adhesive is applied to threaded joints.
Step Nine: Weighting
The lid is too light to close under its own weight, so the master adds weight to it.
The feeder is ready.
