"Brazier made of broken waste bricks with your own hands"

Good afternoon! Today I will tell you how to make a brazier from old unnecessary bricks. Actually, it is better to make it of refractory bricks, but the design is good because it can be collected from garbage.
This type of barbecue was not invented by me, this is a recipe inherited from my grandfather’s friend of my mother. With her permission, I am posting this type of barbecue here.

Materials and tools:
1. unnecessary bricks (about twenty).
2. shovel.
1 step. First you need to dig a hole in the shape of our barbecue. I have a pit for two and a half bricks in length and two bricks in width. It should have a flat bottom, and it should be to the depth of a brick.

2 step. After that, you need to lay the hole with bricks. They should be very tight to each other. This should take the most whole bricks. This will be the bottom of our barbecue.

3 step. Then you need to lay the first lower layer of the wall with bricks. It is possible that it is convenient to lay firewood on one wall and not to spread it, but since it turned out to be not high, I laid everything out.

4 step. Then you need to lay out the second layer of bricks. The worst bricks should go here, since nothing is placed on top of them. All holes between bricks need to be hammered by pieces of bricks.

Our brazier is ready. If you want, you can lay out more layers of bricks, but then for convenience you need to remove one wall.

Of course, a brazier made of quality bricks is more convenient to assemble, and will last longer, but this brazier is valuable in that it is easy to obtain material for its construction. This brazier also has disadvantages - there is no blowing, it is not very convenient to add fuel. But they all pay off with simplicity of design.

So, the external dimensions of your creation are two by three bricks !, The internal dimensions are one by two. The wall is half a brick thick.
Young man, let me explain to you the generally accepted:
When measuring dimensions "in bricks" use ONLY the LENGTH of the brick!
When they say "brick" - this means the length of a standard brick! If you need to specify a size equal to its width, they say "half a brick" !!!
And so on: “a quarter of a brick” is a brick “on an edge”, “a half-brick” is its width, a “brick” is a length ... Further it is already multiple - “one and a half brick”, “two bricks” and so on ... .

Sorry, I put the wrong photo. On all the others, the bottom is two and a half. Width was the width of a brick.
Next time I’ll be more precise.
I have a pit for two and a half bricks in length and two bricks in width.
And in the photo there are three bricks in length and one brick in width.
