In this article, Ivan, the author of the channel will show how to make a universal capture - carrier.

For homemade Ivan will need materials:

Profile pipe 25X25
Profile pipe 20X20
Corner 32nd
Lane 25th
1/2 inch pipe
A small segment of the 30th strip 6 mm thick
Bolts and nuts.

Actually construction.
To begin with, from a 20X20 profile pipe, the author will cut two pieces of 250mm each, having previously dripped oil.


From a strip of six cuts two pieces of 60 mm, also moistens with oil.


Rounded corners and edges of the plates.

Further, in the cut out plates, he makes holes at 12. Pre-marks and core.



12 holes are ready.

Now, in sections of the profile pipe 20X20, a groove 30mm deep and 6mm wide will be cut.
Deepening is necessary in order to weld these plates here.

To know the exact center, he will use a vernier caliper with solders, which will outline the required dimensions.

So it happened.


Now he is drilling holes at 6 millimeters.

6 holes are needed so that when cutting longitudinally, one does not have to think how to break out the remainder of the metal. And so he will already fall out.



That's how Ivan set the pieces, now they will scald them.


Such blanks are obtained after welding.

Further, from the profile pipe 25X25 will do the following details.
To do this, measure 30mm, two pieces, and cut them.


That's how it all looks. This section of the profile pipe goes great here.

Now he will make a 6mm hole in the profile pipe 25X25 itself. And also required positional holes on the lever, on the profile pipe 20X20 itself.
Ready shoulders, one and two.

I drilled holes, here a 6mm bolt stands here clearly. It is fixed in different positions.

Next, takes the 32nd corner, and cuts two pieces of 50mm.

Now, on this slider, the author needs to weld a 32mm corner, which he cut off.

In the following way: so that the corner is welded to the profile pipe like this.


These are the shoulders for fixtures.


Everything clearly walks, moves, and is fixed rigidly with a bolt, as the author calculated.


At this stage, Ivan will assemble the handle itself, to which the manufactured shoulders will be attached. The handle itself will be made of 1/2 inch pipe.

Cut so that it is comfortable to hold. It turns out about 150mm.

And he will also make a telescopic rod from profile pipes 25X25 and 20X20.

With a vise, the author arched the 25th lane.

The assembly turned out here is such a thing, this design must be scalded.

You also need to drill holes for telescopic fixation. Namely, the profile pipe 25X25 will be stationary, and the pipe 20X20 will be movable. Simply put, the 25th will run inside the 20th pipe.

Welds this handle in an integral design.


These are the plates from the 30th strip prepared.

It's time to fix the shoulders.

And, of course, to collect all the finished parts together.

The shoulders are assembled.

Now you need to weld the profile pipe here.

Ivan made holes in the profiles. We see that the bar will be fixed in different positions, at different lengths.



Further, the retractable profile bar is already attached to the connecting plates, the design is already at the final stage.

Very quietly holds a stump weighing 25 kg, even if you swing it.


As you yourself have seen, the design is very practical. Carries any heavy objects, including cinder block, its weight is 20 kg.

But what if take stump not by diameter from the side of the cross-section, by diameter on the side (around the circumference, not only the stump is here, lumberjacks need to wear logs, they are long), but for this it is necessary that the claws are not flat, but rounded, or in the form of the letter “G” and slightly protruded . I carefully looked at the photographs - indeed, I overlooked: there are holes in the perpendicular plane.
Everything that I wrote, I experienced in practice. The device is designed to carry and styling bulky blocks. You have a well-developed fantasy, which is not even bad, that's just the thought you do not bring to the end. How, using a steel tape with a lock like a belt, can you remove it from under a block laid on a cement mortar, or do you think the tape is not deformed? Here the principle of capture under its weight is used, and the block is released very easily, just by removing the load. Once again, the adaptation justifies itself with large volumes of work - building a house or at worst the shed of large blocks, do not bother with less.
To do this, it is enough to drill additional holes in the handle bar. Perhaps the author has done so, but not described and not shown. Or did I overlook something?
Useful thing, but for baboutFor the sake of versatility, it would be nice to make it possible to turn the handle 90 degrees: there are loads that are more convenient to carry with a transverse, rather than a longitudinal grip.

Instead of a flat rope, there may be a steel tape (light but strong) with a clip like on a belt. The capture method also depends on the shape of the stone, for example, a round stone (Strongman) will not be clamped or lifted by these devices, and building blocks usually have holes inside "for the rope", so it’s more reliable if something doesn’t fall on the leg))
In fact, the picture shows the capture of a building block, but it weighs quite a bit. In the late 90s, working on a construction site with a similar mechanism, only a little simpler, we laid curb stones. Let's say the rope is simpler, but how to remove it from under the stone, and how long it will last. So the tool is efficient, but for large volumes of work, for three to five stones do not bother. And yet, to take with your hands an uncomfortable unit or device are two big differences.
