Virtual Reality Glasses From Bottles

Good day to all! Today I would like to tell you about the idea of creating virtual reality glasses from ordinary bottles. This idea was invented and implemented by the author from the Crazy Experimenter channel. Let's get started!

To make such glasses you need
From materials:
1. two large and two small bottles
2. ice cream sticks
3. rubber bands

From tools
: soldering iron, double-sided knife, adhesive tape, syringe

First you need a big bottle. From it you need to remove the cap, attach it at the base of the bottle and cut it out. Such blanks will need 4.

Now you need to slightly warm up the soldering iron (180 - 200 degrees). After that, you need to fold the blanks as the author shows and gently solder the edges.

Here is what should end up. These will be the lenses.

As you may have noticed, the ends are not soldered to the workpieces. Inside the lens you need to inject water. Water can be injected with a syringe.

After this, all the workpieces must be sealed.

Two bottles (small) need to cut off the top. After that, you need to unscrew the lids, put the lenses inside and fix them with glue.

On sticks of ice cream you need to glue on double-sided tape, and then glue out to the blanks.

Now all that’s left is to download the video and fix the phone to the rubber bands

That's all! virtual reality glasses are ready! Thanks for attention

two large and two small bottles
What does it mean - big and small?
From the tools: soldering iron, double-sided knife, adhesive tape, syringe
Scotch is a noble tool.)))
remove the cap, attach it at the base of the bottle
And in the photo - not at the base, but, on the contrary, in the upper part. ((

It turned out derimontage layout. It’s impossible to really use it: instead of lenses, don’t understand that the center-to-center distance is not adjustable, pseudo lenses are located randomly, there is no adjustment for the vision of a specific person, bottlenecks will cut your eyes, stray light is present, your hands will get tired of keeping all this weight.
In addition, virtual reality goggles (or a helmet), unlike just viewing a stereo image (or, as it is now called 3D), imply a change in the image on the screen depending on the position of the head of the beholder, which is not provided here. Unless to twist his head, holding his stray hands, but the pleasure is dubious.

Once Valery said here something like this: you have to do it yourself if you can’t buy it (it’s not produced at all, is it expensive or not exactly what you need), or if you yourself do better. There was a more detailed thought, but the meaning, as I recall, is approximately the same.
I absolutely agree!
1. As an old bespectacled man, I am interested in diopter lenses and center distance!
2. As far as I know, experts are still breaking spears regarding the definition of "virtual reality" and "augmented reality". I would call homemade a device for viewing video content in stereo.
