Tin can grill

Tin can grill

Good day, dear friends! Surely many of you just love barbecue, but not everyone has the opportunity to use a full-sized grill, that's why I want to share with you the way to make a small but functional mini grill that I discovered on the Internet.

The main advantages of the product:
• compactness
• durability (material resistant to high temperatures is used, and all parts are securely fixed with nuts and bolts)
• sustainability
First, let's see the manufacturing process. homemade in the video:

The author used the following tools and materials:
- can (aluminum cans and empty gas cans for burners are also suitable);
- a piece of steel grating;
- marker for marking;
- grinding machine;
- bolts (3pcs. - ~ M10X120mm.);
- screws (4pcs. - ~ M4X16mm.);
- nuts (10pcs. the appropriate size);
- loop (1pc. - ~ 34X22mm.);

The author begins the work by marking the cuts (from the end - semicircular lines, as well as straight along the body).

Further, the author opens the jar from one side to half along the marked line and extracts its contents.

Now the author cuts the jar along the marked lines with a hacksaw for metal.

The next step is to process the sharp edges of the can with a grinding wheel.

Further, the author marks future holes for legs, there will be 3 in total.

The next stage in the manufacture of homemade work is the drilling of the planned holes, the author also additionally drilled 3 additional holes in the end of the can for blowing and safe ignition of the grill.

Then, bolts are inserted into the drilled holes and fixed with nuts as shown in the photo below.

The next step is marking the holes for the loop for the mini grill cover

Now the author drills the intended holes and fastens the cover as shown below.

It's time to find a suitable piece of metal grille (a great solution is a small garden grid, or grille for a car bumper). The author of the video does not fix the grill, which greatly simplifies its replacement, as well as cleaning the grill body as a whole.

It's time to test the finished product! The author pours coal into a mini grill, pours it with a combustible liquid and sets it on fire. Next, sausages are laid out on the grill and some time later a delicious dish prepared on real coals is obtained.

Thanks for attention!

Aluminum here as a last resort (if you want right here and now). I myself have been using the stove from such a can for the second year now, which is still alive. Partly I agree with you, he will not be able to withstand particularly intensive use for a long time, but he’s also “mini” :)
durability (material resistant to high temperatures is used,
aluminum cans are also suitable

Well, alright, a can (albeit controversial with longevity), but when did aluminum become "resistant to high temperatures"? Collapsible barbecues from 1mm. the iron is warped after use, and the reassembly-assembly cannot stand it, but here the tin ...

They are) in the last photo you can see them.
You need to make holes so that the air enters.
