Teslo is a carpentry tool having, unlike an ax, a blade perpendicular to the handle. Teslo is used for hollowing wood products from boats, troughs, as well as for hollowing out grooves.
The master made a tesla from a broken mason's hammer, the hammer broke off at the hammer. For the production of Tesla, the master used the following
Tools and materials:
-Bushhammer;
-Paper;
-Pencil;
-USHM;
-Vise;
-Petal circle;
-Retail;
- Paint brush;
- Rust converter;
-File;
-Sandpaper;
-Drill;
-Polishing wheel;
-Oak board;
-Scissors;
- Electric jigsaw;
-A beam saw;
-Plane;
-Skobel;
-Rule;
-Saw;
-Chisel;
-Glue;
-Metal strip;
-Hammer;
-Circular pliers;
-Linseed oil;
- Clamps;
Step One: Design
The first step the master draws a sketch of the future instrument.
Step Two: Trimming, Grinding, Polishing
Trim the hammer with a angle grinder.
Cleans the surface from rust.
Rounds the back of the instrument.
Grinds the surface with a petal wheel.
The master processes the deep cavities with a rust converter.
With the help of a file extends the eye.
Again, the tool is ground first with a flap wheel and then with sandpaper.
Polishes with a polishing wheel with polishing paste.
Step Three: Pen
The master decided to make a pen out of oak. First, he transferred the form of chocks to paper. Then he painted a pen on paper. Cut out the pattern. Moved to wood.
Cut with a jigsaw.
He clamped the workpiece in a vice and cut it to the desired thickness with a hole saw.
Gives the handle the desired shape.
Handles the top of the handle.
Handles the handle with sandpaper.
It handles the head of the handle to the size of the eye.
Unfortunately, the master removed a little more wood than necessary.
To eliminate the gap, the master glues wood shavings.
Glues a piece of wood at the site of the beard (the wedge at the bottom of the adzl near the eye) to the handle.
Step Four: Sharpening
Grinds the surface again.Sharpen the blade.
Step Five: Wedge
Saws the wedging site. A hole is drilled at the bottom.
Handles the handle with sandpaper.
He makes a wooden wedge and sits it in place after applying glue to it.
Makes and installs two metal wedges. The master puts metal wedges perpendicular to the wooden.
It remains to cover the handle with linseed oil.
Teslo is ready.
For comparison, the master shows photos of the resulting tool and a mason's hammer
and also shows the operation of the tool in the video.
