This is the next version of the bending machine, or rather the bending nozzle for a vice. It has small dimensions, therefore it is convenient for small workshops, although its capabilities are very wide. With it, you can bend steel strips, copper tubes, steel bars. It all depends on the modification and size. You can even make a miniature.
So, the author decided to do the project after he sent a friendly box of "garage pickers" a whole box of bearings of various sizes.
Open bearings, that is, they are designed to work in an oil environment. Or vice versa, without lubrication.
So, the author will do something in the style of “male spinner”.
The author has such a machine, with it you can bend various types of metal into arcs, rings and the like. But this device is already very large and bulky.
So the author decided to do something similar, but smaller.
Naturally, in order to proceed to the manufacture of nozzles, you need to go to the "central warehouse". Simply put - the only new thing in this project is bearings.
So, materials.
Steel strip, at least 6mm thick. Steel bars, with a diameter slightly more than the central hole in the bearing, steel angle, bearings. If you repeat - all sizes depend on your tasks.
Instruments.
1. The lathe.

3. Grinder, cleaning circles and conventional metal.

Manufacturing process.
First of all, all billets of steel strips and corners are cleaned of rust using a grinder with a cleaning disk.
Slices stripes and corners with the same grinder with metal disc.
In addition to the bases, and there will be two, he makes round racks for bearings, here it will be difficult without turning. First, it sharpenes almost the size of the inner diameter of the bearings with a cutter.
And it adjusts to the exact diameter with a file already.

The next stand, the process is visible from a different angle, the actions are the same.
He made plates from a steel sheet, marked out and drilled holes for racks on a lathe.

Everything worked out. The next step is to manufacture the rolling shaft. It pokes a hole in the blank for the outer diameter of the bearing.
The bearing sits tight, this is what you need.
Installs the roll shaft on a central rack. Inside it are three bearings. Sits very tight, helps a little with a hammer.

Possibilities of a nozzle allow to create not only rings. You can make a spiral by changing the degree of pressure in different parts of the strip or bar. You can also make bilateral curls, blacksmiths call them "dollar".
It is possible and necessary to modify this nozzle. For example, by increasing the height of the racks and the number of bearings, the workpiece can be fed at an angle to the base. Then you can achieve the effect of a 3D "spring" or spiral. In short, there will be where your imagination will take off.
