Sometimes it becomes necessary to cut off a part of the bottle. There are several ways to do this, and a soldering iron,
and burning thread, and lowering in boiling water, but if you need an even cut, it is better to use a bottle cutter.
To make the bottle cutter, the master used the following
Tools and materials:
- Electric jigsaw;
-Drill;
-Drill;
-Hammer;
- Glass cutter;
-Fasteners;
-Bar;
-Rollers;
-Rule;
-Pencil;
Step One: Bars
For the bottle cutter, the master uses a bar of 5 * 10 cm. He cuts off two bars of 38 cm each (length) and one 25 cm. He makes cuts in long bars, as in the photo. Drill holes. A number of holes allows you to move the rollers and glass cutter on a plane (according to the author, you could do without them, fixing the rollers at the extreme point). In short, drills and removes the middle.
Step two: neck support
Collects the part on which the neck of the bottle will rest. This design allows you to mix the support screw vertically.
Step Three: Threaded Inserts
Installs threaded inserts in the holes.
Step Four: Joining the Bars
Then the master connects the two bars together
Fastens the vertical bar.
Step Five: Glass Cutter
Fastens the glass cutter.
It remains to fix the rollers and you can start cutting the bottle. For cutting, it is necessary to adjust the support screw in height and the glass cutter along the length of the bottle.
