Mini flashlight keychain - modest size and sufficient brightness!

This mini flashlight keychain is quite simple to manufacture and shines quite brightly for its modest size.
It can be easily hung on a bunch of keys and always carried with you; a flashlight will help you get to, say, your a car and don’t enter the puddle at night, or go into the dark porch or garage.

What is needed
A flashlight was assembled on the basis of one 1-watt LED and three tablet batteries. The size of the batteries can be selected arbitrarily, preferably if they were the same diameter as the LED.

You will also need a heat shrink tube and one clerical needle.

Of the tools you need soldering iron, lighter, wire cutters, tweezers and small pliers

so, let's begin
First you need to find the negative terminal of the LED and solder to the negative of one of the batteries as shown in the photo.

Then bend the terminal with the soldered battery so that the negative contact of the battery is connected to the thermal pad of the LED.

Next, apply the remaining two batteries observing the polarity and check the flashlight for operability.

Works?? Excellent!!!
We continue.
Now you need to put on the resulting design a piece of thermo-tube suitable in diameter, while leaving the second leg of the LED free. And warm the product with a lighter.

Now you need to solder the clerical needle to the positive contact of the LED, align the contact and press it to the body of the future flashlight. Bite off a plastic bead.

Then bend the free end of the needle in the form of a small ring and bend in such a way that it almost reached the positive terminal of the upper battery.

Again, check for performance.

Now if you are going to hang a future flashlight on your keys, then it's time to find some little ring and put it on the end of a curved needle.

Next, we again need a shrink tube. You need to put it on the resulting product and warm it with a lighter.

Well, everything is almost done, we cut off all that is superfluous and check.

Everything works, you can safely hang on the keys and use if necessary.

I like this homemade product. And set it very consciously. In terms of practicality. Miniature size and bright light. And what my friends write in a narrow (on the site) face circle about the durability of the batteries, I will say the following. When discharging ANY battery, its internal resistance increases and the current in the circuit will fall. And if you use this flashlight occasionally, including 3 seconds each time, it will last, most importantly, it will help out with dignity.
A trifle, but an original trifle ...

Tarzan, at school taught his native Russian language? How can one write so LITERALLY - * not someone *, INSTEAD * no one *? All of you, the generation * Pepsi *, are terribly UNLIMITED, and, not a bit embarrassed, expose your LITERACY to your entire Vlasov erefie, showing the whole world the insignificance of the Unified State Examination!

Good. The only bad thing is that in the pictures there are only hands and pliers, and the process of manufacturing the product can not be seen, finely shot

Let's calculate the "motor resource" of the flashlight
A flashlight was assembled on the basis of one 1-watt LED and three tablet batteries. The size of the batteries can be selected arbitrarily, preferably if they were the same diameter as the LED.
Where do we conclude - the current consumption is about 300mA. Silver oxide 6.8x2.6mm is suitable in one diameter with an LED. (the most "powerful" for such a diameter) with a capacity of 27mA / h. Dividing the capacity by the current consumption, we get that the flashlight is designed for 0.07 hours (or 4 minutes) of continuous operation. If we take the largest size and capacity (11.5x5.4mm 190mA / h) we get 38 minutes of work. Do I need such a keychain with an ultra-bright LED and stunted batteries?

I have been using this flashlight for more than two months now, hanging on the keys. No one said that this flashlight needs to shine for hours, this is a keychain for temporary illumination that helps a lot.
And the fact that the flashlight will work for 4 minutes is complete nonsense, I’ve shone more when shooting the video and the test, and I still use it.
take offal from a lighter
I put it in heat shrink, it worked, I did not come up with a practical application! smile
Some disposable lighters have a flashlight, they run out of gas faster than batteries run out. So, if you take the giblets from the lighter and bring it to mind (make a case and adjust the reflector), you get a good flashlight for "getting light". And yet, the design for the keychain is too small, the keys are larger than the keychain itself and it is somehow inconvenient to probably highlight the keyhole and insert the key into it when the flashlight and key are on the same ring in a bunch.
Do I need such a keychain with an ultra-bright LED and stunted batteries

In fact, such a regime is sometimes in demand ....
I use a purchased small-sized trinket flashlight purchased on Ali ... It contains T6 (!!!) and 16340. The battery was taken there, the cheapest ... And therefore, when measuring, it turned out that the capacities in it were a little more than 200 tons of milliamps ... Can you imagine how quickly the T6 eats it up !!! And, nevertheless, I need this flashlight often, but very briefly - to "lighten up" a couple of seconds .... And the charge lasts for six months ... (Figuratively - I didn’t detect it))). But very rarely charge). The battery "rests" until you use it, and the next time it turns out to "get light" again ... (I know, I know that I kill an unprotected battery with this .....)))). But after all, you remember that you WAS to charge only when you need to shine!)))))
(And before that there were many others))). So, based on many years of experience, I’ll say that the most important thing in a flashlight keychain is not capacity, and even not brightness .... The most important thing is a strong metal case !!!! Otherwise, he will not live on keys for a long time !!!
And so that it was not possible in the pocket to press the switch, as if you did not shake and compress this keychain !!!!
So, I agree that this is - pampering !!! But, according to completely different criteria ....)))
