Current model hydraulic grab made by Master from India. The model can be used as a demonstration model at school or made with a child. The materials from which the grip is made are cheap and affordable.
Tools and materials:
-Cardboard;
-10 cube syringes - 8 pcs;
Toothpicks
-Super glue;
-A tube;
-Scissors;
-Scalpel;
-Marker;
- Paint tape;
-Rule;
- Computer with a graphics program;
- clamps;
-Copper wire;
-Nippers;
-Paint;
Step One: Design
In the graphics program, the wizard draws the details of the model. Then prints patterns on paper.
For those who want to repeat the capture, the master places a link to the templates.

Step two: procurement of parts
Carries a template on cardboard.
Cuts out.
Step Three: Holes
According to the template, it makes holes in the details according to the diameter of the toothpicks.
Pre-collects the grip, checks the fit of the parts.
Step Four: Masking Tape
Paste the ends of the parts with masking tape.
Step Five: Syringe Preparation
In three syringes, one is drilled in the upper part of the stem, and two holes in one syringe. The emphasis of a rod cuts off from two parties. Threads the collar rings into each other (figure eight) and puts one ring on the syringe.
Step Six: Build the Model
Assembles a model. Secures syringes to the boom arms.
Then he cuts out a square of cardboard, pastes it with masking tape. In the center of the square makes a hole. The cap from the felt-tip pen is glued into the hole. The cap will play the role of the axis. In a small square glued to the arrow, it also makes a hole and puts it on the axis.
Cut four pieces of cardboard, as in the photo. Glues them and sticks to the platform. Installs a syringe. With this syringe, the platform will rotate.
Seventh step: capture mechanism
It bends the ends of two pieces of wire and inserts into the holes in the syringe. Secures the second ends of the wire to the gripping levers. Sticks on two rubber squares on the grip.
Step Eight: Liquid Fill
Tint water in four colors. He picks it up into syringes, connects the tubes and fills the system with liquid.
Now it remains to bite the protruding ends of the toothpicks
And you're done.
The whole process of creating a platform with a hydraulic drive, as well as a demonstration of work, can be seen in the video.
