Shelving is a very convenient view.
of furniture for a small country house, the space of which does not allow to place dimensional cabinets in its premises. In stores they sell ready-made sets of lumber for the manufacture of such furniture
do it yourself, but it’s not always possible to make a rack of the right size out of them. It’s easier to buy the necessary materials separately and to make an article from them, the dimensions of which will exactly match the required ones, such as, for example, in the picture below.
What is needed
To make a cottage shelving you will need:
1. Screws and a screwdriver.
2. 4 platbands for racks.
3. Trimming trim for the manufacture of spacers and jumpers.
4. 6 shelves made by sawing wooden floor gratings in half.
All this in the store will cost about the same as a ready-made kit for the manufacture of the rack, but the dimensions of the product during its manufacture can be varied.
Manufacturing process
1. First, make the side walls of the rack, sawing off the racks of the required length from the platbands and connecting them with jumpers. When assembling the walls, the squareness of their structures and the uniformity of the distances between the jumpers on both walls are strictly controlled. The lower rear corners are cut off under the baseboard.
2. The assembly of the rack begins with the installation of the upper shelf on the lintels, then the lower one, and only then the rest. Shelves are fixed with long thin screws on the outside of the racks.
3. The space between the racks of the side walls is filled with exactly, neatly and symmetrically located spacers made from scraps of platbands.
4. At the last stage, the top and bottom of the finished shelving are attached to the wooden sheathing of the walls of the country house using metal corners. After that, it can be used and placed on its shelves everything that should be at hand.
The dimensions of such a country shelving, the number of shelves and the distance between them can be arbitrary, but with any dimensions it will be roomy furniture that does not load the space of the room and fits perfectly into the interior of wooden walls.
