Every winter is a serious test for a car. Severe frosts and regular thaws seriously increase the load on the main mechanisms of the machine, and “icy” rain, snowfall and reagents negatively affect its body. And the drivers themselves have to be on their guard all the time: difficult road conditions and minus temperatures overboard increase the risk of all kinds of troubles.

Secret 1. Quickly remove ice from the glass
If auto not stored in the garage, then every winter morning its owner begins with cleaning the body of snow, and glass - from ice. In addition, glass surfaces can be covered with ice crust during movement, which greatly interferes with the view.
The procedure for removing winter precipitation from the glass can take a lot of time if you do not resort to one trick. You need to take an empty bottle with a spray nozzle, fill it with the usual “non-freezing” (but high-quality!) And add pure alcohol (or vodka).
Put this compound on the frozen glass or side mirrors of the car, and in just a couple of minutes the ice crust will begin to melt. Its remains are cleaned without any effort by a scraper.
In addition, with the help of this liquid, you can defrost a frozen car lock (and so that it does not icy again, dry it, otherwise you won’t be able to get into the car again in the morning).

Secret 2. We make fire with the help of an autolamp
One of the most unpleasant things in winter is a breakdown in the cold on a deserted road. If the malfunction of the car cannot be fixed on your own, you will have to wait for help. And in this case, the main thing is not to freeze until the arrival of help. The heat leaves the cabin quickly, so in order not to turn into an “icicle”, you can collect fallen leaves and make a fire.
But how to do it without matches?
You can try to set fire to some paper from the cigarette lighter.
However, this method does not guarantee a positive result.
It will be much more effective to get fire with the help of an autolamp. If the car has a spare incandescent lamp - great, if not - you have to get it out of the headlight. After that, it will be necessary to carefully break the glass bulb of the lamp so that the filament remains intact.
Then we find any wiring and connect it to the "plus" of the battery. Then we take a piece of paper, bring it close to our lamp with a broken bulb, and close the wire to it. The lamp starts to work, the filament heats up - the paper ignites.
Now it will be easy to light a fire, and it will help to survive until help arrives. In an emergency, this method can save a life.
Do not forget about safety. Before you set fire to paper with an auto lamp, remove and place a fire extinguisher next to it - in case something goes wrong.
Secret 3. Preparing mats for the winter
To keep the headlights clean longer, many motorists treat them with a home-made composition: candle wax paraffin + White Spirit.
This solution creates a protective film and perfectly protects the surfaces it rubbed from contamination.
Rubber mats with sides can also be treated with this compound.
After processing, you can notice: the mats began to look better, as if they were covered with a special ink. Agree, improving the appearance is already not bad.
But still, the main test is water and dirt.
Here, too, progress is evident: now the rubber gets dirty less, since the protective film does not allow slush to “fix” on the surface.
In addition, washing mats treated with paraffin solution will be much easier. Water and dirt literally roll off their surface, and they very quickly come to their original clean state.
However, no matter how hard you try, water will still accumulate on the rugs. Moreover, getting rid of it can be difficult. If an impressive puddle forms, then when raising the mat there is a very high risk of spilling it on the carpet in the cabin. And it will be difficult to dry it in winter conditions.
Here's a quick and easy way to remove excess fluid. You just need to collect some snow in a lump and put it in the center of a dirty puddle. Very quickly, the snow mass absorbs it (if the first ball did not cope with the problem, you can repeat the procedure again).
