This time we will consider the eternal problem of tearing cans with screw caps with female hands. In this article, Roman, the author of the YouTube channel "all ideas" will show you how to make a special opener for such cases.

This has become especially relevant recently. Now the older generation has very often used such jars with lids for preservation. They hold perfectly, but when opening such pickles - jams, problems arise. This homemade help to solve them.

Materials There are very few of them, and they are available to everyone.
- A plastic 6 liter bottle of mineral water
- Wooden beam with a section of 25X25 mm, length 100-120 mm
- Ice cream stick
- Two self-tapping screws with a press washer.

Instruments, used by the author.
- A screwdriver with a drill of 1.5 mm (you can without it)
- Stationery knife
- screwdriver
- Hacksaw
- scissors
- File or file
- Vise.

Manufacturing process.
So, the author begins by making a pen. Clamps a wooden beam in a vice, and cuts off a piece of 120 mm long with a hacksaw.


Then marks one edge, and cuts off at 45 degrees, then processes the file with a file.




Turning the workpiece saw cut down, marks the place for the groove, and cuts it with a hacksaw.

Any such cover opens very easily and without any devices. The lid is not twisted, but "sucked" with a fudge. Pry it a little with a knife from below into the gap so that air enters the jar, and even a small child will open the lid.

In order for the lid to remain intact, you need not only to cut it at 45 degrees, but also make a recess in this “thrust plane”, the diameter of which is the same as that of the lid. The bottom line is that the abutment plane without cracks, at the same time, abuts the lid with the entire surface - only this way the force will be distributed over the entire area and the lid will not push. And this should happen at the time of tension. To do this, adjust the belt length to be VERY accurate! A millimeter shorter - and the lever rests not with a plane, but with a “sharp heel” and hello, a new dent on the side of the lid! .... A little longer - and when pulled, the piece of wood will “come off” from the outside diameter, resting only on the “nose” ... A dent again ...
While I set up my own, I screwed up the three covers so that there was no living space on them ...
