This article will touch upon the theme of one of the main tools of a blacksmith, without which there would not be a blacksmith. In it, the author of the YouTube channel "TheDacchio", shows the technology of manufacturing a blacksmith forge.
The technology itself is very simple, does not require special accuracy. The volume of the cylinder can be selected at your discretion, requirements and tasks. To work with small workpieces (for example, for knives), even a 15-liter cylinder is suitable. And if your tasks are more serious, then pick up a larger cylinder.

Manufacturing process.
First of all, the master unscrews the cylinder valve. This must be done outdoors, because gas and condensate residues are explosive. Tears off the valve using a wrench and hitting it with a hammer. Then unscrews with a crocodile.
Be sure to completely fill the tank with running water. In the second photo you can even see how the remnants of gas come out. Washes it from condensate for about half an hour.
Only after the washing procedure does the grinder cut off the valve protection and remove it.
Also cuts the bottom shoe.
Marks the first incision, then goes shallow for the first time with a cutting disc. Cuts in the second pass.
Carries the markup for the second line with a tape measure. It also cuts in two passes.
Parses the tank into two halves.
With the help of a grinder with a stripping petal disk, it smooths out sharp edges.
Using a band saw, three workpieces for legs are cut from a profile pipe. Welds the first.
He grabs the second and third legs, then flips to the normal position, aligns the legs, grabs again. Then he flips and finally boils the seams.
Of bolts and screws makes emphasis for formwork. Welds them inside the half of the tank. These stops should provide space between the formwork and the steel body.

At this point, the author clearly said "forgot!". It cuts a hole for the blower in the bottom with a plasma cutter, and inserts a pipe into it, grabs its edges with welding.
Starts a mixture of cement and sand, spreads it between the body and the formwork. Levels the surface with a trowel, and leaves to harden for a couple of days.
Then, using a band saw, he cuts nine identical blanks for the grate from a bar.
Spreads two thin rods at the edges and proceeds with welding work.
Then boils the second side, and secures the legs.
The cement in the case froze, the author removed the formwork from it and tries on the grill.
Then, a rectangle is cut out of a steel plate, and on the drilling machine it makes several holes in it. Everything seems to fit.
Lubricates the perimeter of the hole with a silicone blower and installs a grill.
Everything is ready, you can connect the blowing and kindle the coals! As an air blower, you can use an ordinary Soviet vacuum cleaner working on blowing. Or you can see here, in this article I described a way to create a simple air blower.
The workpiece from the reinforcement warms up quickly enough, unfortunately, the author did not measure the achieved temperature with a pyrometer.
Everything warms up perfectly, but the outer part of the casing remains almost cold to the touch.
