How to make toroflax? It is not as simple as it seems. To imagine such a design in your head is not realistic, do not even try. This amazing toy, in fact, is one cunningly woven piece of a long ribbon or wire. If you master the technique of such weaving, you can make toroflax from almost any material.

Best of all, of course, is spring steel, in the form of wire or tape of different sections. But it’s hard to get it. Therefore, use everything that is capable of at least a little spring. A fishing line for a trimmer, a thread for a 3D printer, sheet plastic, tubules for drinks, and of course everyone's favorite plastic bottles. In short, apply the fantasy to the fullest.
The easiest way is to make toroflax from a ready-made slinky spring. Surely she is lying somewhere with you. Let's give her a second life.
Watch carefully. In the left hand, hold the entire spring, in the right hand its free end. Now let go of the first turn and thread the free end through it. Like this. We release the second round. And we pass the end through two turns. Then through three turns. Four. Etc. Like this. Gradually. Our spring turns into the desired design. It remains only to glue the loose ends with superglue and you can enjoy its unique shape. All this is possible even for a child. Because this spring is quite tough, it keeps its shape perfectly and helps to assemble it.
But when using other materials, you will definitely have the problem of tangling the rings. If before that it seemed to you that everything is so simple - you are deeply mistaken. Be patient.
Let's say you have plastic sheet, well, or the same bottles.You need to turn them into a narrow strip, twenty times wider than the diameter of the rings. Doing this with scissors is not entirely convenient.
It is better to collect the so-called bottle cutter and cut any thin plastic without any problems. Make it very simple. It is necessary to take an aluminum corner, or such a profile and screw the knife blade to one side of it, from the inside. And on the other side make a hacksaw cuts to the desired width of the plastic tape. That's all, fill the plastic and pull.
The number of rings in toroflax can be any. To understand how long a tape is, count the length of one ring and multiply by their number. While you do not have enough practice, I advise you to wind the tape on a cylinder with the desired diameter of the rings and to avoid confusion, number each ring in this way.

Igor continues this assembly procedure until the very end. The more rings in your toroflax, the longer it takes to assemble, and accordingly, the higher the chances of getting confused at some stage. Therefore, for starters, collect toroflax, from five to six rings and not too small in diameter, so that it would be convenient to hold in your hands. Well, now it remains only to connect the ends, using superglue or scotch tape.
As soon as you learn the assembly technique and fill your hand, you can make toroflax from anything, any size and with any number of rings.
