Manufacturing process.
For trucks with twin wheels, these extensions are used to pump the inner wheel.
To begin with, the author clamps such an extension cord in the chuck of a screwdriver, and the drill in a vice, and drill the workpiece to an internal diameter of 4.5 mm.
Then, it fixes the workpiece in a vice and cuts off the unnecessary part with a hacksaw. Then she cuts the M5 thread with a tap.
Also, the author found a brass ball with M5 thread. He will use it as a rear decorative part of the trunk.
He lubricates the trim with super glue, screw it into the barrel, and then wind the ball.
Now he makes a cut on the workpiece for the wheel axle using a file.
Slices a small piece of copper tube - 26 mm.
Heated it with a gas burner and soldered the axis to it.
Lubricates the felt disk with GOI paste, polishes the workpiece.
Drills a hole with a diameter of 2 mm for the wick.
Now two suitable wheel bearings were found. The author puts them on the tube, and then flares it using a core with a conical head.
Everything is ready, you can insert the wick.
The author plans to use 4.5 mm balls as cores.
Having crumbled a little sulfur, the author decides to check first a ball from a piece of paper as a shell.
It turned out pretty well.
A few more attempts. A matchbox blows a piece of paper, and the gun turned out to have a good return.
It looks like a firework at night.
The ball does not break through the can with a Coke, but it gives a crack to the can.
A few more beautiful shots.
Here is a souvenir "gun" turned out by the author.
