I propose to consider a simple but interesting lamp that you can make do it yourself. As the source material, you can use the trunk of a small tree, a log or other part of the tree, which will seem promising to you. Here, the RGB LED strip acts as a light source, and the light will propagate along the trunk using an acrylic tube. Such a tape will allow you to control the color, change the mood. The manufacturing process of the lamp:
Step one. We are looking for material
As source material, we need a log, part of a branch, or another part of a tree. The tree must be dry, otherwise it will certainly crack after the manufacture of the lamp. You can find ready-made dead wood and dry it. The author came across a trunk with cracks, so when sawing it into rings, they turned out with large cracks.
Step Two Drill
A hole needs to be drilled along the trunk, an acrylic tube will be installed in it, light will propagate through it. A hole of a suitable diameter can be drilled using a bit of the appropriate size.
Step Three Cutting
When the hole along the barrel is drilled, cut it into segments. We choose the number of segments and the gap between them at our discretion. A pendulum saw will come to help us, but you can handle even simpler tools.
Step Four Grinding and assembly
Before assembly, we carefully process all the parts with sandpaper or use a grinding machine for ease of operation.That's all, now the lamp housing can be assembled, the author glues everything using superglue, it's quick and easy.
Step Five Finishing touches
As a completion, we install an LED strip in the tube and fix it there. We try to turn on the tape to see how the lamp works.
At the end, we cover the tree with oil or varnish, so it will look good and will be preserved for a long time.
We connect the power cable to the LED strip and enjoy the beautiful glow of the lamp.
