About the heat gun and hot glue

Many people use hot melt adhesive. It is convenient, fast, inexpensive and, with the right choice of material, durable. And here the key word is “right”, because many people don’t even know that hot glue, or correctly glued rods, are different, and are designed for bonding different materials.
But let's start first with a thermal gun. Thermoguns come with different parameters. Consider the main ones. Temperature is from 110 to 200 degrees. It is clear that the higher the temperature, the faster it heats up and heats the core. The next parameter is the glue supply. Here the fork is from 5 to 30 grams per minute, and it is directly related to temperature. And the temperature, respectively, with power. There are no indications of temperature. The smallest pistol I used was 20 watts. Such a gun can only crafts do. But 60 watts is already enough for several hours of operation. But there are pistols with power and 500 watts. A convenient feature of the gun is the temperature control. There is an opportunity to adapt to different tasks. There are pistols with a battery, almost all are equipped with a bracket-stand, some models have an anti-drop function. For expensive models of thermoguns, replaceable nozzles are included.
The most popular are pistols with a diameter of 7 and 11 mm. I would recommend 11 mm. A little more expensive, but you will always find rods for them.

Now let's move on to hot glue or glue sticks. It is clear that the most running 7 and 11 mm. Now for the colors. The transparent rod is universal and suitable for all work. It has good adhesion and adheres to almost any surface.
Black is of two types. One for sealing joints, the other for insulation. True, I could not find tolerances for isolation.
Opaque and milky white rods do a good job gluing paper, cardboard, ceramics, wood.
Crystal-clear can glue wood and fine fabrics. Such glue is practically invisible when solidified.
Transparent yellow rods are rigid and designed for gluing wood products, plastic, metal.
Colored rods are universal, and a different color is needed to mask the junction of multi-colored parts.

The material is written based on information from the network. From my own experience I used transparent, black and transparent yellow rods. Transparent and transparent yellow very much. I did not see a significant difference between them.

I did not know that, in addition to transparent and black, there are other colors. And 7 mm is always in Fixprice and very inexpensive.
what zhezh you are corrosive, I would say, with extreme adhesion =))

Well, I also found information that black and gray is not glue, but it is a sealant with insulating properties. It has good elasticity and is not suitable for a rigid connection. Opaque white is of two types. One for gluing glass, the second universal for gluing white parts. What is the core for what, you can find out only from sellers.
