Indoor rocket modeling? Will have a fire inspection, and absolutely deserved. But what if the flame is made fake, like in a movie? And firm, so that the rocket rests motionless on it. The three-dimensional freeze-frame of the rocket launch will be yours if you repeat the lamp that the author of Instructables invented under the nickname lonesoulsurfer - either plowing the expanses of a lonely soul, or a lonely soul plowing open spaces.
Look, it’s very close to how the real one looks, even I want to say “ku”!
Toy rocket for homemade you can take ... whatever. All the same, she does nothing, only stands on a luminous tube that simulates a flame. That is, it’s just a curly piece of wood, plastic, metal, or just a little bit. Sculpture, figurine. There are many different kinds of such toys, both modern and vintage. If you want something completely original, you can also make it yours. So did the lonesoulsurfer.
I took a microphone stand, such:
I sawed off the bottom from it:
Instead of a microphone, I placed a piece of wood of circular cross-section in the stand so that it protrudes a little more and down - so it’s more convenient to attach the entire structure to a rod passing inside a luminous pipe:
Processed, painted:
Added a pin simulating an antenna:
I took three reading lights (they can be broken, without batteries, from them you can pull out the LEDs and switches for others crafts, you still don’t need to turn them on), separated them from the clothespins, and let them now imitate additional rocket engines:
Inside the pipe, a square plywood rod will pass:
The master sharpens it:
Drills a hole in the wooden part of the rocket passing through the stand from the microphone:
Tries to connect them:
On the opposite side too sharpens. Why - see soon. It glues an LED strip to the rod on four sides and parallelizes, remembering the polarity:
Connects the cable, also not forgetting about it:
Although lonesoulsurfer checks the operation of the tape from a voltage source of 12 V, and is going to power it in the finished design, it is better to reduce this voltage somewhat, since there is no heat sink.
A real rocket cannot do without a launch pad. Neither the huge one used in astronautics, nor the miniature one that modellers launch. A fake? Also - firstly, to make it look like the truth, and secondly, the whole structure must be supported on something. This is how it looks.A square piece of the board, a cylindrical recess in the middle, and in its center is a hole for the pointed part of the rod with a ribbon:
Together with the core, everything looks like this:
A large recess is designed for a matte translucent pipe, so the master installed it:
I connected the power supply through the remote control receiver (optional), from which it removes heat shrink to solder the wires (again the polarity, it is also important not to confuse the input with the output), and then replace it with another heat shrink and stick it, it also shows how to remove the cord from the start backgrounds:
Installs a rocket:
Done, the lamp can be checked and put where it will be used.
