Manufacturing process.
First of all, the author clamps the stabilizer bar in a vise, and cuts off such a workpiece.
In addition to it, you need a carbon dioxide spray.
Includes one side of the workpiece with a grinder.
Breaks out an unnecessary element from it.
Then, replacing the cutting disc with a clean flap, and fixing the workpiece vertically, sharpen its edges.
It turns out such sharp descents. Now you need to weld the can to the workpiece.
The can clamps in a vice and boils the connection.
The tool takes on its appearance, but processing is still needed.
It cleans the weld with a flap disc.
Then an important stage of hardening. The author heats the cutting part of the tool to a crimson color, then cools it in engine oil. The master did not state the hardening technology in more detail - it is more or less standard.
Now, twisting the sandpaper in a tube, cleans the inner edges of the cutter.
The black color of the metal after hardening can be removed on the grinder by polishing the surface. To do this, the author lubricates the felt disk with GOI paste and polishes the tool.
Here is a cutter turned out by the author.
The author will test it on a linden board, and it has a very dense fiber structure.
As you can see, it cuts such a tool very high quality, and there is a use for it in the workshop.
Although the master plans to sharpen the blade even more.
