The author of Instructables under the nickname goldenshuttle found on sale a discounted constructor for assembly electronic hours. It turned out that in it one of the two boards was cracked. He easily fixed it, and securing the clock at the end of the bracket from a table lamp, he got something that, in the opinion of the master, resembles a robot arm.
The power supply (small transformer + rectifier + filter + stabilizer) goldenshuttle cut from the control board from a push-button microwave oven. In ovens with handle controls, there is no such unit. ATTENTION, A BIG TRANSFORMER, FROM WHICH THE MAGNETRON IS POWERED, FOR THIS DIY NOT SUITABLE! KEEP IT AWAY! Another 12-volt power supply, designed for round-the-clock operation, for example, from a router, is also suitable.

So that the power cord does not come off the terminals of the primary winding of the transformer, the master attached it to the site, popular among electricians, before soldering and insulating the wires of this cord.
