Wyme clamps - simpler not where and not expensive

For gluing the boards together, so that after that they would have an even plane, there are special clamping devices that you will not have to use anywhere else. That is, we get a highly specialized tool. Which suggests what needs to be done, what is more universal, cheaper and, if possible, a lot of task. From these thoughts, I decided to make myself clamps from ready-made elements and which can be reused in other places.

Over time, a lot of different-grade scraps and just boards accumulated. And the idea occurred to glue them into furniture shields.

For my purposes, no matter how the best fit pipes and fasteners from the joker system, which can be bought at any center selling commercial equipment, furniture boutiques and even in building supermarkets. No tools are needed at all. Even pipes can be bought in different lengths of 1, 2, 3 meters. Initially, I imagined how exactly this design would look, what others do involves the presence of welding at least, a drilling machine, a vice and angle grinder to achieve an acceptable result. I did not have it and I got out of the situation by replacing all of this:
1) chain
2) hairpin M5
3) BU with fasteners (20 rubles per pc.)
4) scraps of rope.
5) a set of furniture nuts and lambs.
6) three meter pipe 25mm

Sawing a pipe with a hacksaw into 4 parts of 75 cm since I need an even number of segments, which however gives me the opportunity to glue the sheets up to 60 cm. I began to experiment (I talk about this in the video). The chain gives an effort to tighten the lamellas, but it has many degrees of freedom, so skill is needed at the beginning, and for the pin to try to go aside, I later began to use a block with holes that leveled the entire mobility of the chain. Yes, the design is more mobile than the factory options, for that there is completely no biting of moving parts, as well as the fixing elements are clamped with a bolt, which in turn eliminates the wear of the fixing clamps as on expensive purchased clamps.

The result quite suited me

A little later I began to wrap the pipes with stretch film so that the glue from previous work would not interfere and it did not have to be mechanically cleaned.
Another bonus was that there is practically no restriction on the clamped parts, since a stud with a diameter of 5 mm is used. At the same time, clamps of this kind, due to a more massive emphasis, have such a limitation.

In addition to this, I found two more ways to use my homemade, It is for gluing bars of DIFFERENT lengths along and at the same time I do not use long clamps.

And also for fixing the bars like ordinary clamps, you can find out about the nuances of this device on my channel, there is a separate video there.

And now you can see how the “invention” of these clamps took place
