Everything in this idea is good, but where can I get something that can maintain the necessary shape, despite the holes made? The idea came unexpectedly. Once again, walking around the HomeCenter store, going to the department with plastic sewer pipes, I picked up the corner of the pipe and ... for sure! This is it! Although, if I'm not mistaken, in the original the walls should be transparent ...
The walls of the pipe are about two millimeters, the plastic is “viscous” and I was afraid that the edges of the holes could not be polished. Therefore, in addition to the four corners, I bought a flexible plastic tube to refine and secure the edges of the cut holes.
So that the corners do not go into each other very deeply, I wound two turns of electrical tape on the narrow edge of each pipe. I made two holes in each corner, made a longitudinal section in a thin tube and covered each hole with it.
To be honest, my cat has never been thrilled with table tennis balls. But then she is in a wild delight, he has candy wrappers and chocolate foil. It was these objects, once inside the new toy, that could attract the close attention of the restless Murka.
Done, the toy was approved by the cat. But one point has not yet been taken into account: the ball could be fearlessly inside, since the only way to get it out of there is to disassemble the design, which the cat does not have enough education at the same time, the cat can extract balls from foil and candy wrappers and mice in a few minutes ... I hope she learns to throw them back, as she learned to bring them to us.
