Hello everyone, everyone who hooked the USSR is familiar with this toy, and your fathers or grandfathers could also show it to you. This miracle tractor is interesting not only for children, but even for many adults. He moves unpredictably, leads like a modern robot or even a living creature. So, for example, when an obstacle arises, the tractor itself turns around or even turns over, but this does not stop him from moving on, since he can go on either side.
It also happens that the tractor stops completely and then continues to drive on. If you make several such tractors, you can arrange whole competitions. The toy is assembled very simply from the available materials. If the project interests you, we will study it in more detail!
Materials and tools used by the author:
Material List:
- ;
- a bar of soap (the denser the better);
- elastic;
- stick (suitable from a broom or ampoule from the handle);
- copper wire;
- a match.
Tool List:
- stationery knife;
- a drill.
Tractor manufacturing process:
Step one. Wheels
First, we cut the tread of the tractor so that it can drive everywhere. Cut the cloves on the spool with the help of a clerical knife or another tool.
Step Two Clamp
We need to make a retainer for the elastic, as a piece of a match is used. Under the match with a clerical knife, we make a recess in the coil so that it does not scroll.
Step Three Secret component
There is one secret component in the tractor that makes it work the way it works. Such a component is a soap washer; this component works like a brake. The soap is viscous and due to this the tractor does not move fast and jerky, which looks interesting. You can try to replace the soap with rubber or other similar material, since the washer from the soap is quickly erased, and it collapses if you wind the gum too much.
We cut out a circle from the soap with a clerical knife, and then in the center we drill a hole for the rubber band. The soap is soft, so we take a drill in the hand and drill with our hands.
Step Four Assembly
We assemble the tractor, stretch the gum through the coil, a copper wire helped this author. At one end, we stop the elastic with a match, and at the other end we thread through the soap washer and fix it with a stick that works like a lever. The author doubled the gum.
That's all, homemade ready! We wind the elastic with a lever, but not too much, otherwise the puck may crack, then experience is needed. We put the tractor on the floor and let go, watching a miracle! Well, such a robot travels on carpet, asphalt, sand and other non-slippery surfaces. That's all, the project is over. Good luck and creative inspiration in the manufacture!
