I noticed this old cabinet with one door in my yard, someone did not bring to the trash. I had a screwdriver with me, so I removed the door in five minutes.
The color at the door was white, the size was perfect, so the idea of making a stand-tray came to my mind right away. Handles for a tray already lay in my the garagestored up earlier from the old wall. By the way, it was the shape of the pens that suggested the idea of making such a black-and-white and strict pattern on a tray. It took quite a bit of black nitro paint, which tinted the numbers on the car.
In principle, this idea is self-expanding, as I say, i.e. the possibilities for creativity are endless - change pens, add decoupage or fabric, paint in different colors, or just leave the classic white ...
By the way, such doors can be found in any furniture repairing workshop ...

1. We clean the handles, and paint from the spray can paint the upper part of the door again in white. Paint on newspapers in a well-ventilated area.
2. Draw the contours of the drawing with a pencil. Who can immediately draw without outlines with a brush, you can skip this step.
3. We apply the painting along the contours. It is better to work from top to bottom and from left to right (if you are right handed), so as not to grease the paint. He made the paint thick so that it would not blur. Next, let the drawing dry for several hours and erase all the extra lines from the pencil, but make sure that the paint is not smeared!
4. Next, putty on wood, which can be easily replaced with small sawdust mixed with PVA, close holes, and bumps in those places where there were hinges and defects on the back of the door. Let dry, and equate with sandpaper. We wipe the dust.
5. Apply several layers of white enamel. The door in my case from the outside was perfectly white and without damage, so I painted only from the inside. If you have bumps on the outside, then apply the entire door and repaint it before applying the picture.
6.We glue the pad-supports from felt or any suitable material to the bottom of the tray-tray on each of its corners.
7. We measure with a ruler and drill holes for pens.
8. We fasten the handles with an effort so that the cogs are pressed into the tree a little and do not interfere.
That's it, you're done home-made stand tray from the door in all its glory:
