In this article, the author of the Fiery TV YouTube channel will tell you how to make a fire tornado generator on your own. This is a very beautiful experiment, and a good idea for a street lamp.
Materials
- Sheet steel
- Profile for drywall
- M6 bolts, washers, nuts
- Glass 4 mm thick
- Copper tube trim
- plastic hose
- Silicone sealant
- Gas spray with valve
- Aluminum tape
- Perforated steel tape.
Instruments, used by the author.
- Grinder, cutting disc
- Screwdriver
- glue gun
- File, marker, tape measure, vernier caliper
- A screwdriver.
Manufacturing process.
So, the author begins with the manufacture of the base of the device. To do this, he uses a steel sheet. It will have adjustable air ducts. Finds the center on the plate, and drills it.
Then he makes an impromptu compass, marks, and cuts off the grinder. You can use scissors for metal, but it will not be so neat. There are two such circles.
Immediately removes burrs with a file. Simply, if this is not done, then you will have to return to it in a few minutes, but with bandaged fingers.
Now marks the places for drilling, drawing a circle of smaller diameter.
Four air channels are clearly not enough. The author marks eight sections. Drills a pair of holes at intersections.
By connecting both sheets with two bolts, he drills the remaining holes. So they will be aligned.
For air channels, the master will apply a U-shaped profile for drywall.
The first section is ready, and this is how it will regulate the air flow.
Slices the remaining sections, tries them on.
He finishes sections of the profile with a grinder, grinding off sharp edges, and rounding corners.
Now in the upper plate you need to cut a large central hole.
Now pre-collects the lower and upper parts, installing sections of ducts between them.
In order to securely fix the glass on the base, the author decided to fasten such a design from the corner. Finally collects the base.
Next, you will need a gas cylinder, a thin polyethylene tube, and a copper tube bent at an angle. Inserts the tube into the center of the base, and checks the gas adjustment.
He did not cut glass, but simply ordered it on a glass cutter. This is an ordinary window glass 4 mm thick.
Begins assembling the glass part of the body, fastening the glass in the upper part with aluminum tape. It fits perfectly to the glass, better than any other.
To give rigidity to the structure, the master adds a strip of perforated tape, and also glues it with tape.
The bottom of the glass also sticks with tape to the base. Then you need to seal the joints of the glasses. Transparent silicone sealant is perfect for this.
So, everything is ready, the sealant has frozen. Having slightly opened the air ducts, the author starts the device.
This is how it looks in the dark, the air spirals the fire.
Now you can try to change the position of the ducts.
The author replaced the cylinder with a newer one and succumbed to gas. The temperature of the glass in the lower part is not higher than 44 degrees, and at the top - only 35.
And a few more attempts to adjust the blowing. The author left only two sections open, the flame became thin and elongated.
Here is such an interesting experiment.
Thanks to the author for the interesting idea of the lamp and the experience.
Observe safety precautions, this experiment can only be carried out outdoors, and using protective equipment!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
