Bath stove

Good day to all the Dear settlers of our sites!
By chance on the Internet Ineta stumbled upon your site, interested in one stove. I liked the phased description of the work, the attached photos: everything is clear, accessible, detailed! In short: the theme touched the "living". Bathhouse, bathhouse stove and everything connected with the bathhouse is something that I personally am not indifferent to. After looking at the description of the sauna brick oven, I wanted to share my construction experience.

In the beginning, I must say that before taking on construction, I spent a lot of time delving into the topic, collecting information, trying to understand what is a “good” bathhouse, what it should be for me personally, what requirements should be for it. In the end, I had some idea of my "ideal" bath. Further in the story, I will omit the details (in this context) of the construction of my bath that are not needed, today we are talking about a bath stove, I can only say that the first stove was a brick, it turned out wonderful in terms of heat capacity and steam production, but it had two drawbacks: was gluttonous and not done well. As a result, after five years of operation, it almost fell apart, and the question arose of its replacement.

And again, we omit the description of the process of finding a replacement, making a decision, etc. I must say right away that I came to the following scheme: a cast-iron bath stove connected to two bell-type heating panels. The idea is this: firewood burns in a cast-iron stove, heats it, heats stones, respectively, then the steam room. Next, the flue gases pass into the first (lower) hood of the heating shield, give up part of the heat, then rise to the upper hood, also give off part of the remaining heat and go into the chimney. The heating shield itself separates the steam room and the washing room.

As a result, everything turned out as planned, this design turned out to be three times more economical (judging by the number of firewood used), faster in terms of the readiness of the bath. But the minuses of this design were also identified: less inertia, due to the lower heat capacity of the brick structure and stone laying (heat is stored for a day after the end of the bathing procedures). Although you can ignore this, there is enough heat for three hours of use, which is quite enough. If suddenly there is not enough heat, you can throw a couple of logs at any time and after half an hour the heat will be as much as necessary. That, in fact, is all.
