How to make a indoor fountain with a whirlpool inside

Hello friends the inhabitants of our site! In today's article, we will consider a very actual homemade product, namely, consider how to make a room humidifier in the form of a room fountain. Why is this homemade work relevant? And it is relevant because of the heating season, just the heating radiators in your house very much dry the air, which is not good. This model a room fountain will evaporate water well, since the water itself will actively move around the fountain itself. As you have already noticed, the fountain is different from the others and this is actually quite interesting, namely, a whirlpool in the center.

Links to the main components are left at the end.

For this homemade product you will need:
- Transparent conical flower pot
- Transparent silicone hose (available at any aquarium store)
- Plastic corner for a hose
- PVC pipe, with an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the hose taken.
- Saucer for a large flower pot 2pcs
- Aquarium water pump (at least 25W and 1200l / h)
- A flower pot in the form of a basin (or even a basin), of such a size that one of the saucers can be placed on it
- Decorations for the aquarium in the form of artificial grass.
- Aquarium filter (optional)

From the tools you will also need:
- soldering iron
- Hot glue
- marker
- scissors

Well, let's proceed to the assembly of homemade! First you need to buy a transparent flower pot, conical shape. The pot should be as close as possible to that shown in the photo below. Turn the pot upside down, and using a marker on the bottom of the pot, note two circles with a diameter equal to the diameter of the hose. One hole is exactly in the center, and the second with the edge right against the wall.

After that, through holes should be cut through the marked holes. Since flower pots are mainly made of very low quality plastic, and when they are drilled or sawn, they simply do not burst and crack. Therefore, it is recommended to cut the holes with a heated soldering iron (and it is desirable to use the old sting, as the new one can simply be easily ruined).

For the next step, you will need the silicone hose itself and a plastic corner to it. And we do the following, namely, we put the hose into the hole that is on the edge and put on the corner already inside. The corner itself is rotated so that the flow of water exiting from it is directed along the wall of the flower pot. Then from the same hose we cut a piece of hose about 5 cm long, and insert it into the central hole that was done in the bottom of the pot. And we fix the hoses with a well-heated hot glue. It perfectly fixes and seals.

The next step will require a PVC pipe with an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the hose. This pipe should be divided into four identical parts about 15 cm long. We pass one piece of the PVC pipe through the hose and glue it to the pot using hot melt adhesive. And glue the remaining 3 pieces of PVC pipe to the bottom of the pot so that, turning the pot over, it can stand on its legs (see photo).

Next, take one of the plastic saucers, which is used as a stand for a large flower pot. The size of the saucer should be approximately the same as in the photo below. At the bottom of the saucer itself, you need to make exactly the same holes that you made at the bottom of the transparent pot, well, only in a mirror way, so that the holes with the pot overturn the saucer. Cut holes also with a heated soldering iron.

Now we connect the saucer to the workpiece that we collected earlier. Connecting the structural elements together, you should cut off the extra length of the hose so that the hose protrudes from the saucer by 10-15 cm. Then we connect the water pump to the protruding hose and fix the connection with hot glue. And then we take the so-called basin, and install in it that design with the pump so that you get approximately, as it is shown below.

Next, take the second plastic saucer from a large flower pot. We apply the saucer to the top of the homemade product so that it stands exactly in the middle. Having enclosed the saucer, we circle it with a marker, after that we cut a large through hole along the contour just drawn. The hole itself, like all the previous ones, will be made using a heated soldering iron. Having cut (melting) the hole, we connect the saucer to the upper part of the structure as shown in the photo below and fix the connection by spilling hot glue abundantly in a circle. It is very important to consider that this connection must be sealed, otherwise the water will leak out where it is not needed.

Then, with the help of a soldering iron, holes should be made, namely, small through holes in the saucer, which were installed on top, around the entire circumference of the saucer. Well, actually almost everything, it remains to decorate the home-made. But as for the decor, here you can use your imagination to 100%, and do as you like. The author did so, he acquired bundles of artificial grass in the aquarium store and glued them to the fountain

All is ready! As a result, we got an original homemade product that will perfectly decorate your interior, and most importantly moisturize your workplace. Now just fill in the water, turn on the pump and add so much water so that a tornado can form inside the transparent pot. Also, this homemade product can serve as an anti-stress. It is important to note that it is advisable to use an aquarium filter, it can also be purchased at the nearest aquarium store. The sponge itself should be installed in the place where the water flows back to the lower tank.
