After the colonization of Mars, apple trees will really bloom on it. In the meantime, you can imagine how the Martian trees would look ... if they existed. The author of Instructables under the nickname CrazySurvivalSt has seen enough videos on the topic “what will happen if you pour the crushed aluminum into ...” and decided to try another object for this experience - Orbeez granules. In the initial state, they are very small. The master filled a bucket with water and poured a full package of granules into it:
After three hours, there was no water left in the bucket, and the granules greatly increased in size:
But while they, as well as the walls of the bucket, at least slightly wet, it is impossible to continue the experiment. Contact with molten aluminum, even with minimal moisture, is not permitted. Therefore, CrazySurvivalSt is waiting for the buckets and pellets to dry completely. Then the aluminum melts:
Caution, using personal protective equipment, pours aluminum into a bucket of granules:
He waits for everything to cool completely and takes out the finished “tree” from the bucket:
It starts to separate granules from it:
On a piece of wood marks a square with a side of 120 mm:
Sawing:
Chamfers:
Drills a hole in the middle:
Lacquers the resulting stand:
Fixes a “tree”, completely cleaned of granules, on a stand using a self-tapping screw:
She admires the result and dreams of real apple trees on Mars.
