The author had a need to smelting non-ferrous metals, and he decided to make a melting furnace. But one of its main elements is the correct burner.

Manufacturing process.
As a guide, the master found a drawing of this burner on the Internet.
Then he picked up steel tubes.
As an nozzle, the author will use a hex bolt.
And the tip for the welding semiautomatic device will be screwed into the bolt itself. The diameter of the hole is 0.8 mm.
The author also purchased a propane gearbox and gas hose.
Now you need to cut a piece of pipe with a length of 180 mm.
The author smoothed out the ends of the pipe with a flap grinding disc. And then he took off the paint with a coral disk.
Then marks the diffuser (120 mm) and the nozzle (35 mm) of the burner. For an accurate cut, you can simply wrap the pipe with a sheet of paper and mark it.
He also marked eight longitudinal sections.
After preliminary cuts, the master tightens the shank with a clamp, and cuts a little wider. The body of the future diffuser must be adapted to the size of the mixer.
Then shifts the clamp to the middle, expands the rear parts.
It grips by spot welding, pulling off the resulting petals.
Now all the seams of the diffuser can be boiled.
Here is a diffuser turned out. Seams can be cleaned with a grinder, but the author has a lathe.
Clamps the workpiece in the lathe chuck.
To process the cone, the master uses a small longitudinal feed, and in order not to twist it by hand, he adapted a screwdriver for this.
Now you can weld the mixer tube.
The author narrows the nozzle of the burner in the same way as the diffuser.
Bends the petals with a hammer, boils the seams.
After stripping it turns out like this.
It remains to make the last detail - the confuser, and weld to the main body. The manufacturing method is the same.
Starts making nozzle from bolt and tip.
Drills a through hole of 5 mm diameter in the bolt. Not forgetting the grease.
In the absence of a lathe, this work can be performed by holding the drill in a vice, and the bolt in the drill chuck.
In the hole, cuts the thread, and screw the tip into it.
On the second side of the bolt, a Christmas tree is cut to secure the hose.
Here the nozzle is ready, it needs to be attached to the body. The jet drowned a little in the nozzle, increasing the distance for adjustment.
Cuts a strip of steel sheet. Cleans it from paint, bends it in a vice. Then he drills a hole for the nozzle, cuts the thread in it.
Now you can weld to the body.
Having painted the body with refractory paint, the burner is almost ready.
First, the master secured the burner in a vice inside the workshop.
Due to the rapid burning of oxygen, I had to go out to regulate the street.
The burner has three adjustments. Adjustment of gas pressure on the gearbox, air supply, and depth of nozzle depth in the confuser. Raising the gas pressure to 0.5 atmosphere, it was possible to very quickly heat a thick steel bar of 14 mm.
