Making boomerang from scraps of boards with your own hands

Hello dear readers and the inhabitants of our site!
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel "Pask Makes" will tell you how to make an interesting toy for children and adults, namely a boomerang.

Materials
- Trimming boards from hardwood
- PVA glue
- Stationery glue pencil
- Aerosol varnish
- Sandpaper.

Instruments, used by the author.
- Belt sander
- Planer, file
- Band and miter saws
- Goniometer, clerical knife, tape measure
- Clamps, vise
- Pencil, ruler

Manufacturing process.
The author picked up a pair of suitable pieces of scraps. Then I marked the cut lines on them.

Trim the jagged edges on the band saw.

He pressed the workpiece to the workbench, trimmed the workpiece with a planer.

I cut the excess with a miter saw.

The parties received blanks once again processed with a planer.

Then he set the minimum possible thickness of the cut on the band saw, dismantled the bars on a thin veneer.

To remove irregularities after the band saw blade, he drove them through a sanding machine with a clamp.

Here are such veneer sheets.

Glued the template, measured the desired angle.

Pressing the veneer sheet with a square, cut off the corners of each.

Now you can start gluing. Layer after layer, smearing with PVA glue, assembled a “layer cake” from veneer sheets.

Putting on each wing blanks to trim the board, pressed the blank to the table with clamps.

He removed the blank from the film, and gave it more to dry.

Removes traces of glue with a chisel.

I cut out the template and stuck it on the blank.

Then he cut the workpiece along the contour on a band saw.

Processed the outer parts of the ends on a grinding machine.

I had to raise the saw table at an angle to handle the internal bend.

Now the important point is the front of one, and the rear of the second are seamed at an angle of 30 degrees.
And the remaining two are at an angle of 45 degrees.

Processed the wings with a file. Moreover, the bevels are made only from the side of the template.

I polished the product with sandpaper and removed the remains of the template. Then he opened it with aerosol varnish, installing it on coasters.

The first launches were unsuccessful. The boomerang was too heavy. The author decided to remove one layer of veneer, cleaned and varnished again.

So it flies much further and higher, but returns. Be careful when starting near the trees - then you have to get the stuck boomerang. It is better to choose an open area, where there is a lot of space and no buildings.

Thanks to the author for a simple toy for active entertainment!

All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
