In the yard there is grass, on the grass ... firewood!

I think that all dear readers and friends know this children's room. And many of you are heating the stove. Well, if not in your home, then at least in the bathhouse. But not everyone is engaged in the procurement of firewood.
Here, for example, in our village, residents prefer to buy ready-made firewood, sawn and chopped. And there are people who are professionally engaged in firewood and make money on it. As they say, you cannot forbid beautiful life. But personally, I have slightly different concepts about beauty and a happy life, so I myself am engaged in the preparation of firewood, their delivery and processing.

We have a sawmill in Okhlebinino. And not even one. And in the neighboring villages there are also small sawmills where they are engaged in wood processing. And at every sawmill there is waste, scraps, all kinds of curves and defective sticks, planks, poles. Naturally, they can be bought and used inexpensively for heating. So do I, and many residents of our village. Sometimes for some money, sometimes interchangeably, for some services, I bring these scraps to me and put them near the fence, at the gate. And here the fun begins, because all this stuff needs to be cut, carried to the woodpile and put there. The classic way is simple: put a homemade circular with an electric drive, for example, in the form of a table, then each stick or a little perch is taken in hand and sawed by a circular into approximately equal pieces. Then the chopped sticks are taken in an armful and rushed into the yard, somewhere under a canopy, in a woodcutter or simply stacked in a log. Something like this.

In the yard there is grass, on the grass ... firewood!

The biggest disadvantage of this method is the large loss of time and extremely low productivity. The circular hammer constantly, electricity is consumed. And the back is not iron, to constantly bend down, lift and carry these pieces of wood. And one more thing: I in Okhlebinino know a few people who do not have some fingers on their hands. Yes, yes, you guessed it right. This method is very traumatic.

And therefore, as the great Vladimir Ulyanov - Lenin said - "We will go the other way." We take three logs or three trimmings from the timber, (you can have four and five), we nail them on the sides of the plank. Here is the picture. We put these "P" - shaped bars at an equal distance from each other. This distance is called “firewood” and depends on the depth of your stove. We put poles, sticks, trimmings and other pieces of wood on this frame to make such a handful.

Then we take a chainsaw, even a gasoline, even an electric one, and for 5 ... 10 ... 15 minutes, we saw through all the wood between the frames. It turns out three (or more) neat heaps of pieces of wood.

What crawled out of the frame then fits into the next stack and is sawn again. We remove the saw to the side and tie these even heaps of firewood on each side with a rope, wire or whatever is more comfortable, for example, with such a clamp with a belt.

Then we drive the cart, the wheelbarrow or whatever you have closer, and load this bundle of firewood into it. Calmly, slowly, without much effort, we take these firewood to the place of their storage.

Arriving at the place of permanent deployment of firewood, we roll out (but do not raise!) The bundle from the cart and untie the ropes. Firewood itself is neatly in place. I spent quite a bit of effort on that little pile of wood that is near the house at the very beginning of the article, one hour of time (along with a lunch break and photographing) and less than a kilowatt of electricity.

I wish you success in the procurement of firewood!
