DIY repair

Doing all the repairs yourself is an almost impossible task. However, if you have the skills of a house painter, a plasterer, a drywall specialist, a tiler and a dozen other related professions, then with the help of the tips suggested in the articles, you can cope with all the work.

In order to lay tiled apron in the kitchen you can use the usual traditional glue, or you can glue the tiles on liquid nails. This is possible if the wall surface is fairly flat: without cavities and blockages. In any case, before starting work, it is necessary to mark the area under the tile in order to accurately realize the idea. Then, instead of starting to knead the glue, just grab the tile and apply strips of liquid nails to it. And then stick it on the previously designated place. Having completed all the work, fill the seams with a special putty - this will ensure the tightness of the coating. Regarding the fact that the apron will be located behind the gas stove, and will experience temperature effects, I can say the following - for a year now, the laid tiles have been adhering perfectly to the kitchen wall.

To competently perform partition dismantling You need to know a few basic rules that will make the process safe and effective. First you need to remove the skirting boards and baguettes, using special tools. It doesn’t matter what the partition was made of: brick, foam concrete block or gypsum plaster - disassembly should be started from above. To avoid damage to the floor that may occur when components fall, it is necessary to cover it with old rags or cardboard from boxes. Also, when dismantling, you need to use respirators, as well as periodically spray water in order to settle dust. After disassembling the structure, all the holes that remain from the fastenings of the partition to the supporting wall should be repaired. Do not forget, when starting dismantling work, disconnect all electrics to avoid electric shock. It is important to know that when dismantling the partition, you change the layout of the apartment, which should be registered in the BTI.

Surely many of you have repeatedly mounted a shelf on the wall in the apartment, but it is unlikely that it looked that way. To make copyright shelf for things you will need: two metal corners, self-tapping screws, several unnecessary old books and super-glue. Mark the holes and fasten the shelf to the wall using the corners and screws. But do it the other way around: with the corners facing out, not under the shelf. Now glue the book covers to the bottom of the shelf. Agree that the shelf looks bold and very original.

And at the end of the article, I want to give one very useful advice. After any repair, a large amount of dust remains, which is very difficult to remove from the room, even if you constantly clean the floor and wipe furniture. In order for the construction dust to disappear quickly and without traces from the floor, you need to add a tablespoon of vegetable oil to a bucket of water. After this, it is necessary to wash the surface several times in order to forget about the concrete dust that remained, for example, after dismantling.

Repair is very difficult. No wonder they say that repair is a state of mind. And also that it can only be started and impossible to finish. In any case, I hope that these tips will help you cope with tasks faster.
