For skilled people who work a lot with metals, using for trimming, grinding, etc. Angle grinder, over time, just a huge number of grinded grind disks accumulate. As a rule, especially not emphasizing the fact that they can still serve for the benefit of the master for some time, many still throw them away. What else, they say, still do. As it turned out, such discs can be useful in the workshop of a needlework man. The author of the YouTube channel AVTO CLASS will tell us about this and show us.
For this homemade he uses grinded trimming discs from grinders.
To work, you will need the disks themselves, two washers larger than the holes in the disks, a bolt and washer, a piece of polypropylene tube, an emery machine, a drill or a screwdriver.
Step 1.
The author scored several used discs. Next, a polypropylene tube is taken and a piece is sawn off from it so that after it is pushed into the holes of the disks, it slightly exits on both sides. The sawn off piece is ground.
Step 2
All details need to be assembled among themselves. The cut off tube is inserted into the discs. A puck is placed on one side. A bolt is put on her. On the reverse side, at the outlet of the bolt, another washer is also placed. The whole structure is clamped with a nut.
Step 3
Since the author has all the assembled disks of different sizes, they need to be adjusted to the same height. For this, the design is inserted into device on the emery machine (also homemade) and is fixed. Turn on the emery machine. With the help of a cone, which is inserted into the drill, we begin to squeeze all the protruding parts, fitting all the disks to the same size.
The grinding wheel is ready for use and is being tested.
That's all. Thus, the author made a fairly simple homemade product, but nonetheless very useful. We can say that he gave a second life to the old grinded discs from the grinders, which can still serve in his workshop!
