How to make a desk wood lamp

Hello to visitors and readers of the site. Today I will tell you step by step how to make a wooden table lamp.

For this we need the following materials:
- Plywood 5mm
- A couple of bars
- Bolts and nuts
- Wire, plug and cartridge

- A screwdriver or a screwdriver

So for starters, we need to saw off a bar, the size of which will be lower in the picture. After sawing, you need to round the edges and grind.

After that, we will need a couple more bars, only of a different size, they will serve as a rack. We need 2 pieces, one will be the main one, and the other the middle one. One should leave one edge exactly, the dimensions in the picture below.

Now you need to connect the base with the stand, you need to make holes for the screws, as well as a large chamfer drill.

It should turn out like in the picture below.

You also need to attach the middle part of the lamp, I made a hole in the rack and secured it with a bolt and nut. Be sure to use the washers!

Now you need to make two small cubes that will hold the lampshade. It is necessary to saw off two pieces, the sizes are lower. After sawing off, you can screw them to the middle part. It should turn out like in 3 picture.

Next we will make a lampshade, I made it from pine blocks and plywood. On plywood, you need to make a hole for the head of the cartridge. Everything will be visible in the picture. You can collect it using a square, also if there are gaps, then close them with putty. You also need to make a small square, with the help of it it will be attached to two holders.

Now, so that the tree does not burn out from the temperature of the light bulb, inside the lampshade it is necessary to glue everything with foil, it will repel light.

Now a matter of technology, you need to connect a wire with a plug to the cartridge. And collect everything. Put the cartridge head first, otherwise it will be very difficult to put it later.

After everything is collected, you should get a lamp. I can give one advice, do not put an incandescent lamp there, because the foil from it can be very hot and it will smell unpleasant. Set energy-saving = \

That's all friends! Thank you for taking the time to my post!

design will suffer
What cannot be hurt cannot be hurt. The design here did not lie close, both in terms of appearance and in terms of ergonomics.
A weighting agent in the base is definitely needed. As an option, a clamp securing the lamp to the table: but then mobility will suffer. Ventilation holes - maybe, but then the design will suffer.
And I would have covered the lamp with stain: a pine without it looks frankly nothing.
1. Without a weighting agent in the base, the lamp cannot be operated normally.
2. Ventilation holes are required at the top of the lampshade.
3. In general, a wooden lampshade is an idea so-so: despite the good wishes of the author, there can be (and according to one of Murphy's laws - there are certainly) someone who will screw an incandescent lamp into a cartridge.
FOR the joiner "+", for the design of the electrics "-" smile
