Hello fishermen, today I would like to show how to make a Croatian Egg bait. This bait is needed for very dense vegetation. This bait has a single or double hook, which makes it practically unengaged. Despite the fact that such a bait is easy to order on the Internet or buy in a fishing store, many anglers make it do it yourself. An important reason for the manufacture of bait on their own is the simplicity of technology, as well as the availability of materials and tools.

- Champagne or wine cork
- drill
- Emery paper of different grit

- Varnish
- Nail polish
- Double or single fishing hook
- Saw for metal
- Paper clip

Take a cork from champagne or wine, I took one
We need the cork to increase in size. To do this, take our cork and throw in boiling water for 3 - 5 minutes
After that we take out the cork and see that it has slightly increased in size
Next, stick a nail into the center of the cork so that it comes out on the other side
Clamp a nail with a stopper in a drill
Next, we take sandpaper with a grain size of about 80 - 100 grid
And we begin to sharpen our cork, giving it an egg-shaped
At the last stages of processing, we move from large emery paper to smaller
And so little by little our cork takes the shape of an egg
After we have shaped the egg, remove the workpiece from the drill
After processing with sandpaper, we will need to cut the workpiece along the center with a metal saw
Next, go to the fishing store and buy a double hook
Double hook must be soldered in the middle
When fitting in place, it is evident that the hook length is not enough
To increase the length of the hook from an ordinary paper clip, we bend this detail
Solder the resulting part to the hook. We do not regret solder!
Now the length is perfect
Further, the most important is loading. We cut small pieces of lead and insert them into the slot
Check in a pan with water
We dilute the epoxy resin and fill the slot so that the resin is thick, mix it with sawdust
After the epoxy hardens, sand the workpiece with sandpaper

Next, take car paint and paint the bait
To finish (eyes, top, etc.) we use nail polish
After painting, coat the workpiece with several layers of varnish
