Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Housing
Let's start with the nozzle body, in which the whole sacrament will take place. The case is a piece of iron pipe, the inner diameter should approximately correspond to the nose of the drill, to which the front handle is attached. The first thing on the pipe is to make a clamp, thanks to which we will attach the nozzle to the drill. Cut the pipe up and down, as the author in the photo. And then two nuts are welded, thanks to which the clamp is then tightened with a screw. In one of the nuts you need to drill a thread.
Grind the pipe well with a grinder to a shine.
Step Two Guides
Now we need to make guides between which the chisel will move. Their author decided to make a tree, for such purposes a branch of a tree of suitable diameter was found. We remove the bark, cut a piece of the desired size and cut the workpiece along a hacksaw. Next, in the blanks, you need to make grooves, they must correspond to the width and thickness of the chisel. The author makes a chisel from an old file. Well, then we work with a hacksaw and a chisel, making these same grooves.
Step Three Chisel making
Next, make a chisel, we need an old flat file. Cut it to the desired length, leave the shank. The file must be well sanded, rust and teeth removed.We sharpen the end of the file, as a result, an excellent chisel is obtained. When grinding and sharpening, the file cannot be overheated, otherwise the steel will lose strength and may need to be tempered again.
Step Four Shock knot
We produce a shock assembly that will take on impacts from the perforator cartridge. For the chisel, two washers are needed, we put the first washer on the shank of the former file and install the spring, then we install the second strong spring on the end of the shank and weld it. This puck will be hit.
We also make a drummer, we need a bolt and a ball from the bearing, we drill a blind hole in the head of the bolt so that the ball can fit tightly. That's all, now we press the ball from the bearing into the bolt head, it is made of durable steel and should last a long time.
Step Five Assembly and testing
The homemade product is almost ready, it remains to drill two holes for self-tapping screws at the end of the pipe and you can collect everything. We install the chisel together with the guides inside the pipe and fix the guides made of wood with self-tapping screws. It is good to pre-lubricate the chisel to reduce friction.
The finished nozzle remains to be fixed on the drill, tightening the clamp, after which the homemade product is ready for testing.
