Mosquito trap

Hi the inhabitants of our site! Spring has come, which means summer is coming. Already now, in warm weather, mosquitoes begin to fly on the street. They get into our house and we feel not comfortable when someone buzzes near the ear. So in this article we will look at how to make a simple trap for mosquitoes and other insects from the most available and easily accessible means.

I also attach links to the main components

For this homemade product we need:

1. A small sheet of cardboard
2. Three LEDs (white or blue for a brighter glow) link
3. Cooler link
4. Wires
5. Power Connector Connector
6. On / Off Button link
7. A piece of the breadboard (can be replaced with a piece of cardboard - this does not affect the functions of the homemade product)

Of the tools we will also need:

1. Stationery knife or scissors
2. Soldering iron
3. Glue gun with glue
4. Pencil
5. Ruler

Well then, let's proceed to the assembly. Before that, pay attention to the cooler. The effectiveness of homemade depends on this detail. I recommend taking a size of 120 mm. You can also do without LEDs if you take a backlit cooler. For a brighter glow, you need white or blue LEDs.

The first step is to cut a rectangle out of cardboard. We make markings on it and cut out two rectangular holes. To make it easier to determine the size of the cut out cardboard, you need to rely on the size of the cooler. The width of the rectangle should be slightly larger than the cooler. Do the height at your discretion. The holes are cut indented from the edges of 1-3 cm.

Next, we cut out two more such sheets of cardboard - these are two other sides. We cut holes in them for the switch and the power connector. Solder the wires and solder them together.

We connect the three LEDs in series. (minus one LED to the plus of the second, minus the second to the plus of the third) Solder the wires to them and connect to the cooler power.

We smear with glue and connect all the details. We glue the LEDs.

Glue the cover for the cardboard case.

Done! Turn on at night and catch mosquitoes and other flying insects.

For those who doubt performance, here's an industrial trap - Komaroff GF-7FN

Recently I bought a fly swatter, there the principle is more "humane" - high voltage. I tested it on myself - it works. I remembered a joke: a gypsy, selling a remedy for cockroaches, answers the question: "Will it help?" - "It may not kill, but they will die."
Mosquitoes in Russia are very important. )))
And connecting the LEDs to power is not exclusively humane in relation to them.))
The trap is working, why do you all dislike? I put such in the barn, threshes mosquitoes and especially midges. Only here probably refers to the principle of a vacuum cleaner. And I just have a metal can propeller, a motor and LEDs. But we need to come up with a more effective "knife", can do it in several rows, I do not know.

For a long time I’m thinking of building something so big. Well, we have a lot of mosquitoes and other animals, and you can feed chickens with this, for example.
All clear. The light is on. The insect flies into the light and enters a giant meat grinder, right under the fan blades. A monstrous, brutal device. Where do animal advocates look? laugh1

It is unclear how this trap works.
