Manufacturing process.
So, the author begins with the manufacture of the clip. To do this, he picked up a piece of board, and cleaned it with an electric plane.
Then he marked out the shape of the clip in the form of a fish, and cut out the workpiece.
Now polishes all faces and surfaces of the clamp with P100 sandpaper.
In the upper part of the clip, the master decided to make several holes for toothpicks. In order not to drill through the workpiece, he makes a mark on the drill.
Having picked up a suitable steel bar, levels it, and grinds it with a screwdriver.
Then it just saws it in two equal parts.
As a basis, the author chose just such a board, and cleaned it with a plane.
I cut off a square measuring 175X175 mm, and cut off all the edges. The result was a workpiece of 170X170 mm.
I marked the radii on the corners and cut them off with a jigsaw.
Then he polished all the surfaces of the base.
Now he began to work on decorative workpieces - he burned them with a gas burner.
In a clip drills two through openings for guides. And at the base - two blind holes.
He soaks both pieces with linseed oil.
It remains to hammer the guides, and put on the clip.
That's all, the napkin holder is ready. Now you can get a napkin with one hand and nothing will fall apart!
