I welcome fans to craft, I propose to consider a project for the manufacture of electric tricycle. Homemade It’s going to be quite simple, and the design of the bike does not change. The homemade product is a separate frame that is mounted on the front fork of the bicycle instead of the front wheel. As for the battery, it is installed in a backpack and you can just hang it on the bike frame. An interesting feature of the homemade product is that the frame on which the motor wheels are mounted is hinged. As a result, the wheels can tilt to the side, and with this design, the tricycle passes perfectly through obstacles. Materials and tools used by the author:

Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Blanks
First, we cut the materials for the assembly of the frame. Here we need profile pipes, as well as iron plates. Iron plates will work as ears for hinges. We will also need thick nails, the author uses them as axles. Of course, such hinges will not last long, but this design is only experimental.
Step Two Frame assembly
We assemble the entire structure, use nails as axles, they need to be welded to the plates so that they do not fall out.
In addition to this, we weld the axle from the front wheel of the bicycle to the frame; it is needed to install this entire structure on the front fork of the bicycle. Under the axis, cut a recess in the profile pipe in order to reliably weld it to the frame.We also need to make and install mounts for mounting motor wheels. We make them from the corner, drill holes and weld fastenings to the frame.
Step Three Wheels
We manufacture motor wheels, for such purposes we will need an old gyro scooter. Even if the device does not work and is completely broken, there is a good chance that the engines are still working. We remove the wheels and disassemble them, then in the rims of the motor wheels you need to drill holes for the spokes. After that, it remains to find the rim from the bicycle wheels and assemble our wheels. We install cameras, tires and have excellent bicycle motor wheels.
Step Four Installation of motor wheels and controllers
We install motor wheels on a previously welded frame. To make such engines work, you need a special controller, each wheel needs its own controller. Electronics can be from China, while taking into account the operating voltage and engine power. In our case, the controllers are designed for a voltage of 48V and a maximum power of 350 watts.
We connect to the engines, you can study the pinout in more detail in the video. Solder the wires and insulate with a heat shrink tube. With proper installation, we get two engines, which in total give out power of 700 watts, which is quite a lot.
Step Five Installation design on bike
Homemade install on a bicycle instead of the front wheel. The battery is better to assemble from 18650 lithium cells, the author's battery in a backpack is hung on a bicycle frame. We will also need to connect an electronic throttle handle. The wires are securely fastened to the frame so that nothing hangs anywhere.
After this, the homemade product is ready, the author starts off without problems, the maximum speed of homemade remains unknown. Driving a car is also quite normal. If the tests are successful, you will need to redo the hinges, and get excellent transport.
